How do you think the 5a division will play out? Cathedral lost their starting QB, Columbus East loses a lot, and Decatur Central loses their 2 players. I think 5a is a toss up this year.

Columbus East might drop down a little but it won’t be by a ton.. Offensive Line will be big and strong like it is every year. RB’s will be McDonald (kid is a stud) and Grewie. QB will be Gilley (which is also a D1 baseball prospect. They return both kids that were on the Jr All State team on Defense..

Usual suspects will be up top.

Columbus East, Cathedral, Roncalli, New Pal, B-South (depending on what they return)

Wouldn’t rule out a run by Concord either

Michigan City continues to improve and the Wolves are turning out D1 prospects at a growing rate.  HC Phil Mason enters his 3rd season after taking his team to the 5A Northern Semistate this past season.  Look for continued improvement out of Michigan City, a potential Duneland Conference championship, and another run at the 5A crown in 2018.

B South had a soph qb start the last 4 or 5 games of the season and he did great ,  however being the son of former IU  pres of football operations Billy Ray Johnson who was Kevin Wilsons Pres of football operations here he transferred to wherever his dad moved to this past semester .  Bhss  may crack the top 10 still but i wouldn't expect them to be a threat to win a regional.  As improved as Martinsville was last season they may not make it out of sectionals.

I think Whiteland is a under the radar type team this year. That sectional will be very competitive between Whiteland, BHSS,  Martinsville, and possibly Franklin.
