Brownstown Central sent two for pole vault, both of which were running backs. Junior Caleb Bollinger tied for 22nd at 12'6" and
Senior Colton Ritz placed 6th at 14'9", which was just short of his PR of 15'0". Ritz will continue his pole vaulting career at
Indiana Wesleyan University.

Western Boone sent Solo Huckstep (Pole Vault) and Logan Benson (High Jump).  Benson placed 7th and I believe Huckstep was 13th.

One of the cooler highlights from state, both Webo athletes jumping at about the same time.

Solo will continue his vaulting career at IUPUI.  http://www.reporter.net/sports/western-boone-s-huckstep-signs-with-iupui/article_9750cc30-5ecd-11e8-b43d-63edf3d8185a.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Think Snider had relay team at state that consisted of Haupert, not sure who the three other were though.

I'd say Guerendo from Avon won the day at state.  1st in the 100, 2nd in the 200, 2nd in LJ, and a member of the winning 4X100 relay team.  Dividing the relay points by 4, he contributed 43% of Avon's 66 team points that got them the state title.  In big track meets, one or two studs can really make a difference for a team.

Pioneer's Jack Kiser, who has offers from a plethora of Big Ten schools and ND, competed in the discus and shot put. West Lafayette DL and Purdue commit George Karlaftis won the shot put.
