What are you doing that is NEW to your team?

What are you doing that is NEW to your team? Is it an offense, defense, special teams? Is it how you practice? The amount of time you practice? Are you doing man talks during your football season?

Some teams switch from 3-3 stack to a 4-3. Some go from Spread to wing-T. Some guys practice for 3-4 hours one year and then next year they go from 1 1/2 to 2 hr practices.

New Head Coach = New Philiosophy .... brvheart63 hit it on the head .... practice length time changed.

Some also move a different direction with assistant coaches .... bring in a new 'O' coordinator or new 'D' coordinator or line coach .... or all three!

Some go from run between the tackles smash mouth football to 4 wide and throw 35-40 times a game.

Columbus East changed turf again.. the old turf lasted about 10 years and they are installing the Pro grade turf. It’s still not finished, but it looks extremely nice.

I heard pregame meals added baked beans.

Just a rumor.  The Moms are pretty tight-lipped about this stuff.

Only for teams with no-huddle offenses.

I will begin attending the games again. Had to stop after 2 games last season.

New head coach; new turf being put down now; new OC; new road unis that are pretty sweet; and new home unis. We also have a few former players helping coach and are doing great so far.

We went back to doing the Jamboree this year with 4 teams, rather than the scrimmage format.  Elkhart Central, Northridge, Northwood, and Lakeland are all part of our Jamboree this year hosted at Northridge.  Good article in the Elkhart Truth discussing the pro's/con's....either way, should be fun for the fans from the schools involved.
