No love for Linton this year I see.  However, they DO get to play the defending state champ (and #1 ranked) Southridge Raiders week one.  Oh boy!  In 1A, who would have ever thought you'd see North Central Farmersburg ranked 10 spots ahead of LCC and 9 spots ahead of Sheridan in ANY poll???

Looking forward to Eastern Hancock's match up with Fountain Central. New quality opponent for EH and on our home field !!

NC should be VERY good this year.   lots of 3 and 4 year starters.   Saw them again this summer at Manchester Team camp.   Looked the part

NC has a tremendous 26 player and should be formidable and a favorite this year.

In 2A,  Bremen had a lot of potential last year, but failed to live up to expectations.  I think with virtually everyone back, they will makes some noise up north.

Hoosier Conference with nice representation here again.  LCC kicks off the season against 3A Tri-West and West Lafayette kicks off against 6A Jefferson.  Both jumping right into the fire with the first two games.  WL plays 5A McCutcheon for its second game and LCC hosts Guerin for its second.

BREMEN

saw them at RCHS for 11 on 11 in late June:   Quality players indeed.   loved their TE and QB and I believe one of their WR

Did they line up in the human centipede (3 backs in the I-formation) with the RB 10-11 yards off of the ball?  That was always my favorite.

Scecina should be fun to watch! The Crusaders have a few seniors including the QB that are going to be pretty tough to handle! Looking forward to getting things going.

A lot of Scecina's success will depend on their line.  They have skills players but graduated a lot of their O and D line from last year.

Really surprised Adams Central isnt ranked in 1A. They bring back lots of experience from their 2017 Conference Championship team including one of best RBs in Northeast Indiana.

Triton in the top 15... who would of thought that could happen a year ago!!?  Prior to the 2017 season, Triton had won only 13 games this entire decade!  But the Trojans do return a pre-season all-state QB and WR combination from a team that averaged 30 ppg last year.  Hopes are high in Bourbon.  With 3 of the first 6 games being against LaVille, Bremen and Pioneer, it won't take long to figure out what kind of team we have.

How is Triton's offensive and defensive line looking?

I'm shocked WW is ranked! But that's me.

The O line will have 4 or 5 seniors and average around 265.  The tackles will both be 3 year starters.  Same guys will be rotating on the D line, plus a sophomore who played a little last year as a frosh.

Any of the top 6 in 3A could easily be the favorite to win it all. Lots of parity in those teams.

The Royals will be a huge challenge for FC. As far as the polls go I think 2nd is pretty generous for the Mustangs. 6-8 is probably closer. I’d also move Covington and EG out and move LCC and Sheridan to the top 10. North Central is my early south favorite

Two of the top 5 in 2a have the possibility of being knocked out in opening round of sectionals. Hopefully get luck of draw and have Webo and Tipton on opposite sides of the bracket. GO STARS!!!!

I'm sure that anomaly with North Central will be corrected as the season progresses.  NC could be pretty good in their own back yard but...  Hopefully Linton will correct their omission from the polls as well.
