Irishman
Lars Tate passes at the age of 56. We was an outstanding RB for North Central. He gave us all kinds of trouble at WC way back when. Prayers to his family, friends and teammates. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34336979/lars-tate-former-georgia-football-star-nfl-running-back-dies-56

He replaced Hershel Walker at Georgia. Also at state finalist in track at NC.
ragdoll
Recall that he was knocked out of the regional game against Indianapolis Washington by the smallest guy on field (Washington was smaller, but could really smack). However, he was a great, legendary player. Big in North-South game (first game played at dome)(and coached by Washington Coach Bob Springer). Good NFL back who was cut way short by injury. Tragic loss.

Tragic loss. I remember that North South game, David Herrick from WC (and then to Michigan) played on the O Line. Those Washington teams were tough too. We barely beat them the following year by just 2 points in the Sectional.
PHJIrish
Gone too soon! He was a beast in his entire career, but especially at North Central. Condolences to all his friend and family!

Herrick was a man among boys.
