Official Scrimmage, Who do you play ?

Recommended Posts

With the official scrimmages being just 20 days away I thought it was a good time to start a who do you scrimmage thread.

Heritage Hills heads to Washington  for their scrimmage.

We have a new scrimmage partner this year. Connersville comes to see us at Monrovia.

How un-expected. I'm surprised Cathedral doesn't scrimmage anyone closer to home.

GS went to Mt. Vernon because we had field issues last year...looks like we will go back again this year.

For a few seasons, it used to be South Newton, but this season it looks like LCC will be squaring off against Frankfort.

For several years Cathedral didn't scrimmage anyone. They just played an intrasquad on scrimmage day.

The Irish are just returning a favor.  Franklin County came to Indy for the scrimmage last year.

I assume that the Knights will only be sending their JV squad?

Don't be surprised if LCC has more players on the sidelines than the Hot Dogs. Numbers look down this year. Probably what happens when you only go 10-21 over the last three season, including a moribund 2-8 2014 campaign.

I expect that the Frankfort squad will represent well.  My son's baseball team played a squad from Frankfort this summer.  While Frankfort didn't win, it certainly wasn't from lack of effort.  The kids played hard and with passion and that's about all that you can ask of the kids.

Baseball and football are two different sports. Baseball is currently on the upswing at FHS (first sectional title in something like 30+ years) while football is mired in mediocrity-to-just-plain-bad. I don't expect the Hot Dogs to even move the ball, let alone score, against the Knight JV during this upcoming scrimmage.
