Warren Central Warrior
Figures Warren Central would drop out. The Warriors can't keep making mistakes like this. Just my 2 cents
LC_Bears_04
This is what I feel like class 6A should look like at this point in the season: 1. Brownsburg 2. Center Grove 3. Ben Davis 4. Cathedral 5. Carmel 6. Hamilton Southeastern 7. Fishers 8. Westfield 9. Lawrence Central 10. Tie between Carroll and Crown Point I have Brownsburg ahead of Center Grove based off of their strength of victories over Ben Davis and Cathedral. And it's impossible to say whether Carroll or Crown Point is better at this point because they play 2 completely different sets of opponents, so it's like comparing apples to oranges.

I think you have Carmel way too high. They have the talent, they just get outcoached every week. It's painful to watch.

They lost to CG on the road in the last minute and lost a close one to a national top 100 team in Trinity (KY)...how much lower can one honestly have them? Also, can you be specific about how they are being "outcoached?" This is the second time you have claimed that unless I am mistaken. Also, can you be specific about how they are being "outcoached?" This is the second time you have claimed that unless I am mistaken. Sure. OFFENSE Consistently trying to run the ball against 7-8 in the box with only 5 OL blocking no TE, 3 WR, using a RB as lead blocker right up the gut when their biggest back is 190 pounds. When they are in a 2 back set they ALWAYS run and defenses know it and pack the box when they see this set. I have seen them throw one slant all season. 3rd and 5,6 yards they call throw/go route and try to complete 15-20 yard pass. Clock mismanagement every game. 3 minutes before half last week in Pike's half the OC calls two out patterns (why?) on 1st, 2nd down (both incomplete) and then tries a run up the middle. Don't burn any clock after run and punt with 15 seconds on play clock. Coaches do not instruct the QB to run the clock on first down, snap the ball with 20 seconds on play clock. They only use 45 seconds before half. This happens in just about every game. Pike comes out after half being down 24 and onside kicks (surprise) and Carmel coaches have regular kick return set (this has happened twice this season already and twice last season in the playoff game against Avon). Pike recovers and goes down and scores. I will stop there. DEFENSE They run a 3-4. Why? Their three down lineman are 240-250lbs a piece. They get single teamed because they are facing 275-300 pound OL every week and the opposing team guards go to second level to block Carmel 200-220 ILB's. 3rd and long they consistently drop the Heldt kid (6' 6" 245 lbs. Purdue commit) into pass coverage on slot receiver and rush three. Safeties are never at first down marker, coach has them 5-6 yards deeper than line to gain on 3rd downs. The coaches never make half time adjustments, ever. Last week against Pike there was 2 minutes left in 4th quarter with Carmel up by 20+ points. Carmel goes to a "prevent" defense rushing 3 dropping 8 with safeties 30 yards off of the ball. Why? Carmel defense held them to 7 points the whole game. Do coaches think Pike is going to score 4 TDs in 2 minutes? This is just one game. Sorry for long post.

So what number is your kid and where does he fall on the depth chart?

crimsonace1
70-25 against a top schedule, two state titles and three trips to Lucas Oil in seven years tells me the Carmel coaches know what they're doing.

Before we get started, just a reminder that the best officials in the state will be in the stands, but thanks for your service just the same."
