Grid, best game setting around. Maybe In the state. Visitor section looking out into the lake and campus. Two tremendous restaurants in the Edge water and Pappas in culver. Cma will have maybe 10 fans, you will out number them by a country mile. Not a a shot at CMA, just very few local fans. Enjoy it, go early, take it in.

Edgewater is now called the Lakehouse.

Nothing better than an evening in Culver.  CMA plays at Bremen week 9.  They are a solid team, but Northridge will be better.

Lake house is a great choice by the way. With that said, don't count out the Rockies here. Drudge is a giant giant loss and a great kid for sure, but most everyone else will be back if stars align. Never doubt this staff.  I like our chances

How tough is CMA schedule? Don't know much about teams they've played

Sectional draws came out. We will be traveling to Culver Military I don't know much about them but they're a good team on paper. East Noble and Plymouth should be a bruiser. Sectional 19 is strong.

Head to Culver early.  Take a walk around the campus.  It is beautiful.

agreed, I think Angola, Northwood, Plymouth, Northridge, East Noble, and Culver all have legitimate chances of making some noise in this sectional.  It should be interesting to say the least.

Gotta worry about Conocrd first. I'm concerned with the size I've heard they have on the O line. We struggled with Goshen big offensive linemen got blown off the ball at times. Gotta tackle better this week also to win, it should be a great game. Chance to make history by wrapping up conference championship Friday expect a packed house.

Do they still fire the cannon @ 5:00 on campus?  That's also a neat experience @ Culver Military worth seeing.

Agreed, if we come out this Friday like we did against Goshen it'll be over quickly.  I hadn't noticed that many botched exchanges between center/qb since our game at Adams this year.

Looked completely unfocused and sloppy all night, hopefully it was just 1 game, and with the loss of their classmate the evening before, they had a lot more on their minds than just football.  If we play like we have outside of the Goshen game, I think we have a shot and match up pretty well against Concord.

Very interesting game in Dunlap coming on Friday.  GOTY for the NLC.  It can be said that either team could finish the regular season undefeated by winning this game.  Sagarin has Concord pulling off a close one by one TD.  SF doesn't want to predict anything since I haven't seen Concord play this season but I hear from multiple sources their size on both of the lines is impressive compared to Northridge, and I know they always seem to be strong clutch players.  NR is certainly solid and while not error-free, seem to be disciplined and not prone to losing their cool in adverse situations.  Sooooo - We will see........

Best year so far in the HISTORY of NR football, so it is exciting to say the least to see the boys doing so well.  Go get em Raiders!!

Best of luck to both teams for a great game - Play hard and stay safe.

If CMA's students are there, they'll have a nice crowd.

Also, the last time I was there, I think they shot that cannon off on scores or kickoffs or both.

I also think you will find out a lot about CMA when South Bend St. Joe (who just beat Mishawaka) plays them this weekend.

Well since I seem to always stop the conversation...here is my short and sweet pick for the NLC GOTW.

Northridge 22 Concord 21 OT (Ridge goes for two in OT and wins.)

Yes that game should be a solid indicator of how strong a team they are.

Coming from someone who has seen both Concord and Northridge play, I have to say that Concord will win by two touchdowns. I know that Ridge is having a great season but after watching us play Ridge and seeing what Concord did to us, it will not be a close game...

Every night at 6:30 for the end of the day and every morning at 7:30 for Reveille.

Could be right! We'll see. As I said, only concern for me is how we struggled against size of Goshen. Honestly feel we may have let up knowing goshen has had a down year as well. There won't be any let down when we kickoff Friday. No prediction from me just hoping for a great game and a W

Not very. Last 2 games have had a running clock for the second half. Brebuef and Western have been the best competition so far and we went 1-1 losing to Brebeuf by a FG. Had the ball 4th and goal from the 2 with a few seconds left, went for it instead of a FG to tie and wasn't able to punch it in.  Decent talent but not really tested in most wins. We will have a better idea of where we stand in the next 2 weeks with St Joe and Bremen.

We definitely played our worst football of the year last week against Goshen.  I'm just hoping we're back to form this week against Concord, if we play like we did last week, it will be an ugly loss for us.

To our defense, against Goshen, we had struggled with focus early in the week during practice (trap game between NW/Concord), then the big blow Thursday night of losing a classmate weighed on our team heavily on Friday night.  Not sure if Hooley got banged up again last week, but after passing for 2 TD's, he was sidelined in favor of Julius Graber for the rest of the game.

I'm just hoping, and confident we will come out far more focused this Friday than last, I see it as a toss up either way at this point.  We have dropped from #2 to #7 in the IFCA Poll this week after barely beating Goshen.  Northwood is back up to #5, Plymouth to #10 and Concord to #5 in 5A.  Always happy to see the NLC well represented!

Both Northridge and Concord staffs will be very well prepared for this one. A lot of grinding, tough, old-school football. Not only do Minutemen have good size (not huge) up front, but they are athletic... not big, slow-movers.

It's a one-score game either way. Be surprised if either team gets blown out. Challenge is NR defense keeping Concord from long, churning drives.

Just my thoughts...

I didn't mean for it to come off so harsh. Last Friday was a very emotional atmosphere and I know that something like that is devastating for any team. I hope that ridge fixes their mistakes and raids Concord. As a former red...skin, I would like nothing more than this. I believe that we will be seeing Concord again at the end of the month and I would like to think that it will be a different game once we get our injured back. Concord is tough. The last two years our games against Concord have been extremely competitive. This year, our regular season game was frustrating to watch as they broke us physically and mentally. We lost A Lot last year but our line is the strength of our team. I think anyone last Friday would say that Goshen did very well controlling the line of scrimmage and that as well as a couple key plays made the game close. I think that coach Park is turning the corner with our kids and we will come ready for redemption in sectionals!

and yes, this is coming from a fan who's team is 1-6
