Could be a shake up in the the 812 sectionals in 5A. It appears by preliminary numbers that Seymour will quite possibly move up to 5A.

812FB News

Seymour is looking for a new HC.  The Owls last season really turned it on and an added bonus is that they've got a really nice facility.

Princeton is going to struggle this year, rebuilding with a new coach and a good amount of young players. I fear this will be a rough year for the tigers.

In addition the word on the street is that coach Schenk may be taking a player or two with him to NP.

IF it happens, I think it would be best to let it come from an official source. I don't think we want to start running with rumors about 14-17 year olds.

Cappy, I'm just messing with 32. My point why bring it up other than start rumours. Coach Schenk will do what's in the best interest of all his kids. That's why he was a wanted commodity. Wish all well. Until we scrimmage or play either.

Maybe so, I think I have an old list of emails from youth league days.

Did you talk to my son down at EVV North at Elliots camp? He mentioned someone from GS spoke to him.

You got enough recruits already. Way to many studs, mine would probably just make the scout team. Lol

I think linton fans are skeptical of that #1 spot. I do not know what linton graduated but #1 after the bump up in the next class is a bit  premature .

I would say that is a fair assessment.  Linton graduated about 16 players from last year's state championship team.  I don't think you would get any arguments from Linton fans about the #1 ranking being too soon.  Southridge is ranked #5 in the poll and they will play @ Linton in week one.  Right out of the gate, they both get to see where they are.  Should be a GREAT start to their seasons for both programs.  If any program can move up a class, beef up their schedule AND be competitive, it's the Miners.  As I was told this weekend, "they don't rebuild, they reload".  They've paid their dues over the years and now are one of the more respected programs in the southern part of the state, if not statewide.  This is a great thing for the kids who are wearing the Red and Blue this season.  They now have their chance to shine and set the bar even higher.  Having Coach Oliver and his staff on the sidelines is huge for a team full of new faces.  You'd be hard pressed to find a better staff anywhere.  I found it interesting to see that 3 of the top 5 teams in 2A were from sectional 40.  I am anticipating several weeks in Linton's schedule this year where the games should be like a playoff atmosphere.  Love it!
