Western Boone holding Danville's offense in somewhat check looked impressive on paper,   weather a factor?   Webo looks good as well, if Tipton and them meet in sectionals could be a dandy

Weather was not a factor. It started sprinkling at the end of the game and there was a slight breeze diagonal across the field  from the start but it wasn't really impactful to the passing game.

Congratulations to the Frankfort Hot Dogs Boys Soccer Team for winning class 2A sectional #25, defeating it's arch rival the Lebanon (aka Eagleton) Tigers 2-1, on the Tigers home field.

The Hot Dogs now face Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter on 10/14 in the Greensburg Regional.

Over/under on the Crawfordsville - Frankfort game?

At least someone's long losing streak will end.

It is a big regular season game however the state tournament is right around the corner.  We shall see what transpires.

Doesn't matter if Washington plays or not.  WeBo is playing their best football right now.   Stars by at least 2 scores.

Be careful what you wish for!  That’s 2 games of huge rushing yards allowed in a row for the Stars.  Hopefully the 2a football tournament will be nicer to WeBo football than it was in Volleyball.

Guaranteed the 2A tournament will be nicer to Webo football than volleyball.  Cascade football isn't the #1 ranked, returning state runner up that Covenant Christian volleyball is.  They were a step up from the usual sectional weakness provided by the Sagamore Conference.

Congratulations to Frankfort with getting a win last week.  Those kids had to be excited.  Hopefully, Frankfort can get some more kids out to play football.

Good luck to all the Sagamore Conference Teams in the State Tournament as well.

Tipton seems to be a prominent passing team, with some good QB runs mixed in, but if they had their choice they want to sling it.  They have some DUDES who can get down field and QB can really push that ball short medium and long.   Gonna be a great game in round two!!!

Narrowly beating another 0-8 team is really nothing to get that worked up over.    Frankly with the FHS soccer team on the rise (1st sectional title in 17 years, got beat by a p/p team in the regionals) the football program will continue to decline.  Simply not enough OMG! athletes walking the halls that have the desire and means to participate.

TW up 34-0 on Monrovia at half

I saw the final score.  Think things will be interesting next week?  How is TW playing now compared to midseason?

Yes I think things will be interesting next week. If we can somehow slow down the passing game it’ll be close in my opinion. We completely shut down Monrovia’s run game and they average over 300 a game I believe. Switching to Watson at QB has really helped the offense and they’ve been clicking since then. He’s very smart and intelligent and is just a gamer, does whatever it takes to win. We will need other guys to step up besides him and Blake next week though that’s for sure. I’m not sure how good of a GP this would be but I would seriously consider putting Blake on Stevens all over the field wherever he goes and put Watson on Burton when he splits out from a normal TE position and I’d bring 6-7 every play. Just staying in the normal scheme with normal coverage with the normal DB’s didn’t work the first time and it won’t work again.

Congrats to Western Boone on the win tonight. Looking forward to conversing with you guys this week. There's also a Sectional 38 thread as well.

Danville dominated last night, up 55-14 before playing subs entire 4th quarter.  Stevens had 2 incredible touchdown catches, and Burton was a red zone mismatch all night.  Always looking forward to a Danville-Tri West matchup, should be a great game next Friday.
