Well, can't say this wasn't unexpected, and can't say anyone is disappointed either.

I can think of at least 6 schools that are disappointed. Its hard enough to beat 1 great team, but 2!!!!

Carroll's no slouch in that mix either.

Probably guarantees that one, if not both, of the last two North 1A state championship representatives will be in 1A for at least the next four years

In side note, congrats to Takkle youngest on being named star of stars at county track meet.

He won 100, 200, shot and discus

nice job Jack

Looking forward to seeing how things progress.  Seems to have the right attitude for moving forward and leveraging what the school has in terms of kids and resources.

I haven't heard any details on new staff, but I believe that some of the guys that were there last year are staying on, so I don't think it will end up being a wholesale housecleaning.  Having the Purdue ties as well as the previous LCC ties should help cut down on the "learning curve."  LCC will be in a rebuild/reload season this year.  Lots of guys returning, but a couple challenges coupled with a new coaching staff will produce some additional twists to the season.  Will be really curious to see how this works out on the OLine and QB slots to begin with.  Receivers and backs should be fairly solid.  Secondary will be interesting too.

Was hoping you'd say "it's going to be a long year"

we have some holes to fill 2 four year & one three year defensive starters

But when your 6'3 210 lb sophomore qb throws a shot 49' and a discus 153' and runs the 100 and 200 in 11.3 and 22.3 seconds we may have someone to build around
