  1. Past hour
  2. That will be a sad day for you. In most apocalypse themed movies and books, all the grass is gone. Everything sports related will have to be done on one of @Muda69 most hated things on this Earth, dare I say it, ARTIFICIAL TURF!
  3. I am always hopeful for change, but I feel like this will backfire.
  4. Sheridan can sometimes benefit from being in Hamilton County and getting athletes from the larger surrounding schools.
  5. Surprised nothing said this week with Doyel repeatedly making poor comments regarding Clark. Tons on social media and national news services...mainly going after Doyel hard. Doyel trying to apologize on social media, but not sure having an impact. Thoughts??
  6. Agree. But a team has to be located inside the city limits. Harding, for example sat on the outside of Fort Wayne city limits and was part of the East Allen County school system. However, 90% of their student body was from inside city limits. That's partially true of Carroll and Homestead. Both cities sit on the outside, with many students sitting on the inside. Long story short, if the school sits inside limits, then it's labeled as such. No ones ever said "Indianapolis Carmel." We're just left wondering where suburban schools are from...........I guess that's what google is for.
  7. Today
  8. Carmel and a Westfield kid? I had no idea Sheridan got those kind of transfers.
  9. From C&P, also looks like Bosse will also be getting a roof renovation too
  10. My dealings with Coach Spencer he was a pro. Never had an issue with him or any of his players. Good dude.
  11. ill give you 21.01 but i get to blacklist one team, and i dont have to choose until august
  12. We realize its hard to compete with the Jewell's 4 row temporary movable bleachers and lawn chairs circling the turf. Enlow is a close second I guess...
  13. You may be on to something there. The Gibson Southern @ Heritage Hills semistate game was the best 3A atmosphere I've seen. Although the Memorial @ Gibson Southern game in 2017 was very good too. Speaking on recent history anyways.
  14. It really falls short in comparison to the atmosphere at other 3A playoff locations over the past few years. I've been to some poorly attended playoff games at Enlow. That said, during the Lindauer Combs era things really picked up.
  15. This is great news. Looking forward to checking out some games there. Especially can imagine the classic Enlow playoff atmosphere with Memorial vs. Gibson Southern, Memorial vs. Heritage Hills, or even Memorial vs. Mater Dei.
  16. Modernized lights at the Bowl would be awesome. They replaced the lights (or at least the bulbs, not sure) before last season. People said it was a slight improvement but barely noticeable.
  17. Is replacing the lights at Reitz next?
  18. Sheridan returns a lot of their OL, but will be looking for a new lead RB. Return QB. WR is another position that they will be looking for, as all WRs and TE were all Seniors. That being said, these positions were also question marks going into last season. Sheridan and Coach Wright are pretty good at finding talent for one season in the skill positions. Also, worth mentioning that Sheridan has open enrollment. Both WRs from last year were from outside of Sheridan. One from Carmel, one from Westfield. As Sheridan has a rather large student body of transfers, it'll be interesting to see who/if any choose to come play/learn at Sheridan next season.
  19. Saying Fort Wayne ( what ever school it is) helps people know where said school is located. If you just Snider most people would have no clue where that is at.
  20. Big news for the Bulldogs. Congrats, Bosse! https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/high-school/2024/04/19/bosses-enlow-field-will-be-upgraded-with-new-turf-field-stadium-roof/73278322007/
  21. I get it, but when you go to Snider High School, it does not say Fort Wayne Snider at the entrance.
  22. When the apocalypse comes we IT guys, and HAM radio operators, are going to be the ones to save the world.
  23. I would say Howard County has multiple high schools (throw Eastern (Greentown) in there as well), not the city of Kokomo. Although Taylor is close. Residents of the Northwestern and Western school districts want nothing to with the city itself, other than a job a Chrysler/Stellantis transmission plant. The city of Kokomo did once have two high schools. Haworth High school was open from 1968 to 1984, and the current Kokomo high school building on the southwest side was originally the Haworth building. IIRC Haworth had it's own sport facilities except for basketball where both schools shared historic Memorial gymnasium, a decision that rankled a lot of Kokomo fans at the time.
  24. Kokomo has multiple high schools(Kokomo, Western, Northwestern, Taylor), but yet there is just one with the name Kokomo. It is interesting how some have the city name and some do not.
