  1. Now you've got me blushing. We introverts just can't stand being the focus of attention, can we, Muda?

  6. I have to agree with TD here, I believe this does bring their judgement into question, there are way nicer places. I'm not going to lie here fellas, strip clubs just don't hold the appeal to me that they did when I was a few years younger. That being said showing up at a strip club with a couple of lesbians and buying one of them a lap dance......well that's a game changer.

  7. Perhaps it is a generational thing, but I find it odd an American male doesn't know who Alfred E. Neuman is.

  8. I have no idea, but if I were a betting man, I'd bet he's just a normal dude. Perhaps you're the anomaly here Muda? Personally I've been to professional training events, and have managed to not only learn a little, but have a little fun while there. I just don't see the issue.

  9. I don't know. I don't have answers. The problem is we know school shootings happen and instead of making meaningful change, politicians politicize the event. I don't care if you are R or D, they all do it. I would argue you fund education more and put more time and money into personnel. More counselors to serve the ever-changing student body. More teachers so they could get to know students better. More professional development aimed at understanding mental/emotional issues, recognizing signs. Referring to politicians --->Place an importance on the child and their actions not solely how they do on a test. <---

  11. We have teacher work days on Aug 5th and 6th then students report to school on Aug 7th. No chance to even have two practices a day with the new rules unless we went at 5:30 AM.

  12. With most schools returning to school August 12 or earlier, there is the potential for one - maybe two - of these practice days according to IHSAA restrictions. Long gone are the days where one would show up at 7 in the morning and leave at dusk.

  13. I have numerous students (both now and in the past, both public and private schools) who believe school is the only safe place in their life. With each incident of a school shooting the anxiety levels of students, teachers and parents goes up. To do nothing is wrong. I would rather we take a shot at fixing the problem through legislation, rather than sit here and do nothing. Unfortunately, legislation would mean public education would receive more funding, and well, we are in Indiana. We simply cannot give more money to the schools even if that means the possibility of safer schools.

  15. I may have missed something, but I have not heard anyone claim they want to give them voting rights while in prison. But an honest question, if someone is a convicted felon and has served his/her time, is there a valid reason they should never be allowed to vote again? I know for certain they are allowed to work the polls on election day, so why should they not get to vote?

  19. Muda, I don't always agree with your posts, but I 100% support this post! We have such an amazing language and have a large vocabulary, yet we dumb it all down to sentences and phrases like "that was ****ing amazing." "What the ****." When you use the word with such frequency and in so many different ways it loses the impact it once had. By no means am I a writer or have the largest vocabulary, but I will still try to use better words. 2 things I believe: 1. Dropping the F bomb casually in conversation makes you sound less intelligent. 2. The use of "swear words" makes you sound angry. If you don't think this is a problem, go listen to a group of teenagers and count the number of F bombs.

  20. Same. I met up with 09er and LCCAlum a few times when Pioneer and LCC played. Both are nice guys and basically played a gimmick online, especially 09er. 09er let me sit in his car during halftime and we both looked up scores around the state. I even had the pleasure of meeting his father, Frank, before. The entire LCC fanbase was always a class act whenever I visited LaRocca Field. I've heard horror stories from other Pioneer fans from 15-20 years ago, but I never personally witnessed anything remotely negative.
