  1. CG 19 Carmel 17 Because CG was 4-5 & the people who want to get rid of the all-in tournament are fools.

  2. I agree with the comments on Sigler. Kid is amazing and will be super tough to handle. I think this is the best game of the weekend (admit to obvious bias). Two great teams, great tradition, history, etc. I choose not to make predictions about any game, except, that I do think this will be the closest game Chatard plays this year. I don't see this as a multi-score difference in favor of either team. Hopefully, Chatard pulls it out, but, whichever team wins will have deserved it. If Chatard wins, they will have beaten the #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, and #7 teams (by Sagarin) in 3A. If HH wins, then it will have defeated the #1, #8, #9, #10, and #11 teams in 3A. Nothing cheap about this championship either way.

  4. Standing in the endzone and looking at the two squads, it looked like a complete mismatch. It appeared as if Andrean had 4 inches and 20 pound minimum size advantage at every position. Eastbrook did have one big boy on the OLine. Eastbrook reminded me of those Jimtown teams of old. Filled with hard nosed, undersized kids that pursue and tackle like demons and athletic lineman who got to the edge consistently to block for their backs against Andrean. Very impressed.

  6. Jim is a Danville troll and has nothing to do with Memorial or Heritage Hills. He's about 1 more post away from a season ban.

  7. Congratulations to the Vikings! Beat NP. Keep the title in the North. Good luck at LOS. I almost enjoyed my stay at your stadium. I was blown away at how big your stands were and how full and load. What does it hold? 4,000 plus? The hospitality from all your fans was great.

  8. The real questions is did coach Woods take a bow to the student section after this game. Wait he probably walked over to the student section running his hand through his hair to only blow out the smoke on his 6 shooter fingure. When your the head coach and you do things like this people dont forget and they let their friends know. HH took care of business tonight Danville had no answer to the HH QB. Welll no one has had an answer for him all seaon. I am sure Chatard might have a chance to do so next Firday. The look at me Coach Woods might not have much to show off after this game. HH is the one taking bow tonight. Way to represent southern Indiana HH. Congrats!!!!

  9. No reason to clutter the page up with a new thread so I will post this here. This is the 8th meeting between Heritage Hills and Chatard and the Trojans lead the series 6-1. Chatard was ranked number 1 and Heritage Hills number 2 in the final regular season IFCA and AP polls. Sagarin power poll has Chatard ranked 6th in the state all classes and Heritage Hills ranked 29th all classes. Through 14 games Chatard is averaging 44.0 ppg and giving up 12.2 ppg and the Patriots are averaging 39.0 ppg and giving up 6.9 ppg. The first meeting between these 2 schools was in the 1997 Regional, The next 6 meetings were in the South Semi State and this will be the first meeting in the state finals. Heritage Hills lone victory in the series came in 2004, The Trojans came into that game as a heavy favorite and were the 3 time defending 3A state champs winning the title the previous 3 seasons. In that game Chatard led 10-0 after the first quarter, Heritage Hills added a Jace Morrison field goal in the 2nd quarter and trailed 10-3 at halftime .The Patriots had a long clock killing drive in the 3rd quarter and tied it up with 2:29 remaining in the 3rd on a Bryce Pund 2-yard touchdown run. Neither team was able to muster much offense in the 4th quarter before Jace Morrison kicked a 38-yard field goal with 8.3 seconds left to seal the victory, At the time HH was the only public school to defeat both Chatard and Roncalli in the 3A playoffs. 10. Why are those the “natural” pairings? Chatard and Brebeuf have never been a consistent “natural” pairing. Chatard has been in the South forever. Brebeuf bounces back and forth. If we are truly worried only about (A) “natural pairings” then why go down the whole discussion path of (B) “if you send....Brebeuf and Chatard south, then you’ll have people argue there is some kind of bias against the schools in the southern half of the state since they would have to go through the Indy parochial schools”? So, which is it that determines these things? Natural pairings (which seem natural only now but haven’t been the last 20+ years) or using Indy parochials like a missile to apparently punish the part of the State that gets stuck with them (paraphrasing of point “B”). Per the comments above, apparently Tri-West (whoops, did I say that) was “biased” against the northern part of the State this time around when it pointed the Indy parochials North and we ended up with a 3A South so that any team capable of walking and chewing gum concurrently from Sectional 29 (containing Tri-West, shockingly) has a free ride to Semistate. An aside.....but how is it just an accident that 7 of the Top 10 Sagarin ranked 3A schools somehow end up in Sectionals 28 and 32? 4 of the Top 6 in Sectional 28 which has NEVER been a “natural” geographic combination of teams in Sectional. Brebeuf has not anytime recently shared a Sectional with West Lafayette although they have, at times, been North. Now suddenly, West Lafayette, Brebeuf, Guerin and Chatard together are “only natural”? But then, its been admitted that now the Indy parochials are simply a weapon to yield to punish the “losing”part of the state as regards the internal politics of playoff and Sectional structuring. BTW, anyone shedding crocodile tears about somehow disrespecting Sectional 30 teams who are the doormat to Semistate for the Sectional 29 winner can spare me. I’ll save my tears for West Lafayette, Brebeuf (did I just say that?...must be nuts), Guerin, Gibson Southern and Southridge. I have always hated the phrase “get better or get used to it” but it’s the best I can offer Sectional 30. When it comes to the legitimizing of so much of the current playoff system and how the Sectionals have been determined - don’t think for a minute the rest of us believe there is some fundamental purity of intent there.

  12. When folks back in the day were talking about LCC and the grind of conference, and how Hoosier can help in post season it was for a season like this for LCC LCC has good HS Football players in their 2019 group The 09 Chris Mills group, the Anthrop eras with both Danny and Jackson and their stud buddies along with them were NOT your typical LCC 1a group, that was truly a special era of LCC with legacy kids all over the field. 2019 group needed to have the challenges of their regular season to be prepared for the 1a run they are on currently, I do not think you could say that in good faith about those other teams that GID nation so passionately enjoyed arguing about with likes of @LCCAlum and his boi , the bad guy, Razor Ramon....

  13. The Culture that Coach Ralph has created December thru July is what sets them apart right now. The In season, game day lifts also a reason they can run all those 2 way players without concern of wear and tear. Its so impressive, but its just not Football program, as @crimsonace1 can attest, the work ethic of the gals of New Pal are also best in state, espeically Softball team

  14. I know nothing about these 2 teams and I’m too lazy to read @foxbat’s analysis. But, LCC has done this a whole bunch of times..... kind of like Sheridan used to. I don’t want to say Catholics play football better than Lutherans, but give me LCC in a mild upset 21-13.

  15. I will start out by saying the two teams with the toughest draws and the toughest ROAD made it to LOS!! Mad respect for Chatard, obviously they are the team to beat!! Probably heavily favored too!! Love my Patriots!! Cannot tell what a great group of young men they are!! This team has heart! This team believes!! I believe too!! HH 22 BC 21 go for two to win it all!!

  16. Yeah, that’s one thing I hate about sports fans - imputing the behavior of one or a small handful of bad fans to the entire fanbase of a team. It happens at all levels. Somebody follows their team to an away game, a few of the home fans are jerks and, ergo, all that team’s fans are jerks. Newsflash: every team has some bad fans...but most people are generally respectful.

  17. I won’t get into the back & forth or what happened last year anymore. That game was 1 year ago. I’ll simply say this, Webo will show up Saturday prepared for a Dogfight. Coach Pelley & his staff will game plan for Eastbrook. I look forward to the game Saturday at Noon. Safe travels to Eastbrook and their fan base on Saturday.

  18. He’s talking about a single play early in the game last year in which a backward pass was incorrectly ruled an incomplete forward pass. Had it been ruled correctly, it likely would have been an Eastbrook recovery, and it’s possible they would have even scored on the play. The play has been dissected on the GID. It was the wrong call but, under the circumstances which, again, were discussed extensively, it was a difficult call. It was one play - a big play, no doubt - but only one play early in a game that ended up 34-20. The only people who can blame that outcome on officiating are either blindly biased fans, people unsophisticated in the ways of football, or people only interested in stirring the pot. Don’t know which category he belongs in. As far as selection of officials for the tournament is concerned, this document explains the process: http://www.ifoa.us/Resources/Documents/H-8 IHSAA Policy for Selection of Officials for Football Tournament Series AMENDED 71113.pdf If you have specific questions about the selection process, I’ll try to answer them. But it suffices to say that the process is quite controversial, and the subject of much debate in the officiating community, primarily because of what is viewed as disproportionate weight given to coaches’ rating of officials.

  21. This looks like a three score game to me, HH has to play a near perfect game and hope BC is "off" . but the game isnt played on paper, and theres no denying the heart and determination of these Pats. Its almost uncanny how HH seems to get stronger late in games, playing so many two way players. heart prediction HH 17 BC 14 head prediction BC 28 HH 6 Go Pats!

  23. Okay I am done driving and ready to comment on this game: 1) Congrats HH! What an amazing group of you men! They work hard, they play with such poise and grit! Just a fun team to watch!! Proud as hell!! 2) Danville Warriors I tip my hat to you!! Players left it all on the field!! Very impressed with the way they approach the game!! 3) Officials......F!!! That’s your grade tonight!! Pathetic all around for everyone!!! Nuff said!! Lastly Patriot Nation!!! Helluva job traveling tonight!!! It definitely shows what a special community we live in!! Proud to be a Patriot!!!

  24. I think GS will get their shot. They still have Brady Allen for two more years. He’s got a lot of potential and Hart’s a fantastic coach. And, while their regular season game against HH was a blowout, the sectional game was nip and tuck. GS led most of the game. I’d watch out for the Titans at least the next couple years.

  25. Because in the IHSAA committee's infinite wisdom, they decided to put 4 of the best 10 teams in the class in one sectional (Chatard, WL, Brebeuf and Guerin Catholic) and 3 of the best teams in the class in 32 (Heritage Hills, Gibson S and Southridge). Leaving a lot of mediocrity in the other 6 sectionals. Thank goodness the best team in the south and the best team in the north (although Chatard never should have been in the north to begin with) are playing in the finals.

  27. Heritage Hills had the ball on offense the vast majority of the 3rd quarter. The 2nd half was all Heritage Hills until the late score by Danville

  28. I think Western boone is much more balanced on offense! Eastbrook does truely believe in their coach and his offense. Whoever has the beeter defense in this one wins it! Taking Western boone i believe in a close one

  29. Congrats Chatard 45-0. Knights hung for a quarter but it was obvious they didn't have the horses to hang with the Trojans. Good luck next week.

  31. This could be the best game of the weekend, I swear to God it could. All we heard all year was Cass and Dakich high in the north. Madder Days and even Liptons out of south. Both teams kinda got overlooked. 2nd and foremost there’s last year’s history. Some EB fans still pissed about last year’s game. Some Webos felt there was a lack of respect/credit after last year. This should be a hard hitting game

  32. Here's the picture of the seniors on that squad, back when they were just starting their careers as 3rd graders. This is the 3rd/4th grade combined teams after winning the championship over East Tipp back in 2010.

  36. Arguably the best athlete to ever play any sport in the DAC, that 01 team was awesome, unfortunately so was James Banks. No doubt he would have been a solid NFL WR, but that baseball money and longevity is hard to beat.

  40. You’re talking about what has generally been characterized as “negligent infliction of emotional distress,” which was, traditionally, subject to the “impact rule.” Here’s something of a summary of the development of the rule ... and it’s exceptions. https://www.theindianalawyer.com/articles/29650-negligent-infliction-of-emotional-distress Here, I have no doubt that there’s a sufficient “impact” in the application of potentially unsterilized instrumentation to the patient’s body. The question becomes whether that is an impact that is objectively likely to cause emotional distress. The “distress” is the product of fear of infection. The incubation period of most infections is measured in days, not weeks or months. So, I think it’s highly unlikely a court would find that fear of infection from an inadequately sterilized instrument — that took place 6 months ago — would be objectively reasonable. Having said that, this is a pretty murky area. Now, if you have a patient who actually developed a nosocomial infection, i.e., hospital acquired, in connection with a procedure, that’s a whole different ballgame. But still very hard to prove. My opinion is that Goshen Hospital has more exposure of a regulatory nature, than from civil liability.

  41. Eastbrook put on a clinic of leverage tonight. NG #9 gave up about 100 pounds and he consistently required 2 guys and allowed the classic Eastbrook LB run thru windows. Their staple of defense. They way they rally in space is quite impressive, again a Panther staple.

  47. I don't have a pony in this show but from reading these post the last couple days, definitely rooting for HH. Hoping #15 has a career game. I keep reading about the Danville victories over Chatard in 2016 & 2017, so what! You lost the following games and Chatard owns you historically regardless of who the coaches are. Be thankful for the realignment which allowed you to play this long. And about Gibson Southern not advancing to Regionals/ Semistate. You do know GS lost in very competitive games to either the state champs or the runner up in 2016 & 2017 and it looks like this will be the third year in a row that they lost to team that will be playing in LOS. Matter of fact, in 2017, their game with Memorial was more competitive than the Danville game. I will leave you with this highlight from 2017 since you are so found of that year! FTF Or how about this one. "What a block by Ervin!" Good luck Heritage Hills. Hopefully both our teams take of business tonight and we see you next week at LOS.
