  1. Why are you so strident in your nonstop belittling of the accomplishments of a high school student, which has been full of inaccuracies and speculation based on a tiny sample size and a "I have to be right so I'm going to drill my point until you all agree with me" desire to argue. Two things: D1 is more than P5. It's actually even more than FBS. Also, learn how to spell the kid's name if you're going to spend nine pages trying to tear him down and question his decision-making. "Wear and tear." Spegal was getting, maybe, 20 carries a game most nights. The people who ACTUALLY WATCHED HIS GAMES (which you clearly have not) can tell you this. Age? Why would a teenaged high school football player whose age is not abnormal for a high school senior scare off recruiters? If you're the "content creator" you seem to think you are, you'd at least do a little bit of research and get your facts straight rather than believing wild rumors. If anything, the lack of P5 offers likely has to do with measurables - he's 5'11 and doesn't have 4.5 speed and thus got pigeonholed as fullback, but he's a football player. He has tremendous sense, he's incredibly strong, has tremendous vision, is hard to tackle and he'll be a solid player for IU. I would be shocked if he doesn't earn a scholarship during his time at IU. I'm confident most readers understand where you're coming from: that your opinions are based in nothing close to facts, and that anything you write here should be taken about as seriously as people who call into sports talk radio. But "content" or something. It's content in the way Cheez-Wiz is food. Sure, it's content, but it's not quality and you feel worse for having consumed it.

  3. The offensive line giving up just a couple of pressures today; the X factor in my mind. Mack was a non factor for most of the game. Packers left a lot of plays on the field. Rodgers said in the pre game that when they look at the two games they played really well, Aaron Jones was heavily involved. Welllllllllll.....I did not think they did a good job using him today. My brothers and I were texting during the game. It does seem this team is worse playing with a lead than they were under McCarthy. I then thought, maybe it was not just McCarthy. This offense does not adjust well to pressure. It seems like a basic thing that if you have a team down big, they are going to take some chances on defense. I am not feeling too confident about next week at this point. N my mind, if they want to make a statement going into the post season, this is the game to do that.

  4. Heritage Hills survived a scare in the home opener against a much improved North Posey basketball team. The Patriots played their 2nd straight game without star Murray Becher and 3rd without backup Mark Doyle the Vikings were also missing a key player in Johnathon Ricketts. After one quarter it was tied 17-17, at halftime Posey led 31-30, After 3 Posey led 50-37, after 4 it was tied 61-61 and the final Heritage Hills 75 North Posey 67 in one overtime. Patriots were ice cold from the freethrow line to start the game but hit their last 14 or so straight to seal the comeback. Sisley carried the team in the first half and Sigler and scherry carried them in the 4th quarter and overtime. The Vikings solid guard play was a big factor in the Patriots only having 37 points after 3 quarters, Patriots score a bunch off of transaction from turnovers. In the 4th the Patriots picked up the defensive pressure . I believe in the 4th we changed up the defender on Ricketts as well switching from Sigler to Scherry . Free throws North Posey 12 of 16 Heritage Hills 20 of 27. HH scoring Scherry 25 Sisley 24 Sigler 17 ( career high ) Johnson 5 Kryzkowski 4 NP scoring Ricketts 27 Allyn 16 Wunderlich 14 Bender 5 Koester 4 Wahl 3 @Bcaster Anything to add ??

  5. "I am the most read content provider in the history of The Gridiron Digest. The record speaks for itself. " Where can one find said "record"? Because you're 6th in terms of number of comments. That's the only record that anyone can cite. When we talk about most read content on the GID, we're only talking about the top 5. If we're referring to #6 or below, we'll be clear.

  6. I would rather not speculate on things I have no knowledge of. I will leave that to the needy.

  7. What makes you think with his resume he couldn't get a job in the NFL? There are position coaches in both the NFL and College whose resume pails in comparison to Kevin Wrights. Just keep in mind it was stated a job from NFL down to HS, that doesn't mean Head Coach though.

  9. Why? It's entertainment and it adds discussion to silly topics.

  10. Clicked the topic to say the same thing. Dude is a legend, coming from someone who has never met the man. He’s done Indiana coaches proud.

  11. I believe Elkhart is going to experience the same problems that Michigan City experienced when Elston and Rogers consolidated. They are putting the 9th graders at Central and grades 10, 11 and 12 will be at Memorial but the football games will be played at Central's Rice Field. When Elston and Rogers consolidated in 1995 the put the 9th graders at Elston and grades 10, 11 and 12 at Rogers until they finally put grades 9-12 under one roof at Rogers (MCHS) and the games are played at Ames Field. They are going to find that having their high school building and their football facility located into two entirely separate sections of the city is a logistical nightmare. I strongly recommend that most of the teams activities be based out of their high school building at Memorial.

  12. Kevin Wright has a tremendous resume, that could get him a job from NFL down to HS, whatever he would like to do.

  13. Haha Xstar. The dude that got so butt hurt about 1 vote down. Votes me down 4 or 5 times, i then had i break from adult maturity and vote you down a couple times... You then get even more butt hurt and vote me down 20 times. You trying to justify your immaturity is laughable. I clearly showed that you started this vote down bs and then you had to reach for a post that had nothing to do with the vote down ordeal. You are now going to be blocked. I don't deal with turds like you.

  14. Have read a few mentions of coaches and not one mention of Bud Wright. It isn't a true Mount Rushmore without the winningest coach of all time.

  15. Usually Sacred Heart, St. John's, Village Woods, St. Henry's, St. Jude's, or Geyer. Sometimes they bus them in from Lima, Detroit, Columbus, or Toledo. Once in a while, Southern California, Venezuela, or Cuba.
