  2. Nearing the one year anniversary, I've got some other things going on right now that would have involved him, and it's really kind of hitting me. I've been thinking a lot about him, sure could use his guidance. With my mom, it really hit me that first Mother's Day. I feel like I'm very fortunate, both of my parents opted to quit dialysis, I had the opportunity to tell them both goodbye, and thank them for being my parents. When all was said and done, I don't know if it makes it any easier, but I was certainly at peace with it.

  3. Good for you buddy!! Be thankful for time well spent, I'm sure. I just wish my dad could have met my kids, he was a super grandpa to my brother and sister's kids. Mine would have loved him.

  4. Big changes to the MLB playoff process are being proposed now. What does that have to do with Indiana high school football? It just confirms something that some of us have been saying for years. If you want to make the regular season games more exciting, ignite fan interest, keep people and teams engaged to the greatest extent possible, you take steps to make those regular season games more meaningful with respect to post-season opportunity. MLB has obviously realized that changing the playoff protocol is a legitimate and effective way to do that. In order to make regular season games more meaningful, they are proposing changes that would keep more teams fighting for more playoff spots. It would increase playoff participation from 10 to 14 teams. The stated purpose is to make the stakes for regular season games higher, to make for more competitive games, greater "buzz" and, of course, the increased revenue that flows from that. This teaches us that the most sophisticated minds in sports see using the playoff structure as a way to improve the regular season … just what we should be doing in Indiana with at least playoff seeding, and better still, a playoff qualification format.

  6. Lol just seeing how long it would take!!! Panthers are in a league of their own in all things cowbell. Both of these schools are great football schools. Tremendous support from community and buy in from players.

  7. It's amazing what kids buying into the program, good coaching, a phenomenal weight/conditioning program, a good youth program, and community support get you... And the kids flat work their tails off...

  8. I don't believe he "moved"... He did go to Lebanon (as stated above) but still resided in Webo School District. His sister has always attended Webo Schools. I am not sure why Muda needs the background of every kid that played at Webo...

  9. Would you be in favor of an outside hire? What about a young coach or first time head coach? Because I would definitely apply for this job as a young coach looking for my first head coaching position.

  10. I actually made it to the final round of interviews when they hired Coach Funk. I sat in the conference room with the school board, A.D., and Principal. One of the board members asked my why I was such a "Bittergymteacher" and I told him a story about how my high school never had a swimming pool and it kept me from being a national champion swimmer (that and I suck at swimming). I knew their lack of pool facilities would cost me the job!!! In all seriousness, I did make it to the final round that year and it was the most pleasant interviewing process I had been through. I hated not getting hired but they definitely made a great choice in picking Funk that year. Ole Miss will do it right again and take their time for a quality head coach.

  11. Looks like we'll get to see what happens when con men con each other since these statements were made today. Of course, Assange and his lawyers could well be lying today, but then that would make the claim about 100% accuracy questionable ... of course, if the statements today aren't lies, then that makes the previous ones lies. Either way, something's got to give.

  12. Teams do suck at times, that’s a given. But I don’t think these so called “sucky teams” will be stuck in first gear forever. Why punish a program for a few bad years?

  13. Oh you put forth a hypothesis. It just didn't pass any tests. And now that it hasn't, you can't run away from it fast enough.

  15. Hopefully you were able to spend some time with your dad after his HA. My father knew he had issues, even had nitro pills prescribed (we found out later according to his doctor) but didn't listen to him. An exploding aorta in his sleep took care of him. RIP - 32 years ago.

  16. https://mises.org/wire/why-its-so-hard-escape-americas-anti-poverty-programs Fantastic analysis by Mr. Murray. Liberals, and government in general, want individuals to be dependent on government programs for their survival. It helps to justify their existence in some twisted way.

  17. You didn't answer the question. No friend, those are you actions in this thread, not mine. Why you choose to obfuscate, dodge, and dive instead of actually typing out what you want to say is beyond me.

  20. Preferred walk on roster for Indiana University is bulging at the seams with Indiana kids. Depleting the available instate athletes for smaller state colleges and universities. including ,but not Limited to.other In state D1schools. Most of these kids will never see the light of day in their career at IU. whether Allen thinks he’s being generous or what. This is not a good thing.
