  1. Coach, I seem to remember Purdue fans taking a victory lap last year when Brady Allen was secured. I guess sometimes 10 months is a lifetime ago. As far as not having an issue with a coach making promo type videos….well, that depends on the coach!! 😆

  2. Voted for myself. I encourage you to vote for me too. "Generally, a player must have been named on more than one all-star team to be a finalist, but we'll also accept write-in votes if your favorite player wasn't included.'

  3. It's an absolute circus. Players are no longer committed to their program and programs are no longer committed to their players. "Thank you for your time and investment here, but we're bringing in a player from another school to take over your position."

  4. This goes back to a point that has been mentioned often; the real recuiting starts after kids commit.

  5. Don’t let “some people” speak for the masses. They just scream the loudest. Mike Tyson said it best… ”Social media made y’all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.”

  6. It seemed like you were offering excommunication as a rebuttal for PHJIrish’s statement that “you ban yourself. It’s always your choice.” I was simply offering that excommunication only happens because of exactly what PHJIrish said.

  9. These kids, and the people advising them do not understand the basic economic reality: The demand by schools for, and the supply of, athletes, has not changed. There are still only so many positions available. What’s going on now is basically just re-shuffling the deck.

  10. This I can get on board with but I saw a staggering statistic the other day regarding the transfer portal and guys who think the grass is greener somewhere else and end up stuck with nowhere to go. I’ll see if I can find it. Just like I’ve said about high school kids getting mixed messages from adults who are in their ear and tell them what they want to hear, this has now spread to the collegiate level. Don’t feel as bad for these folks though because if you are 19-22 years old and can legally vote, you should be able to make adult related decisions about your livelihood. (14-18 year old kids are the ones that really make me tear up.) Here it is: In 2020, 49% of athletes (6,703) who entered the transfer portal enrolled at a new school, while 44% (6,009 athletes) are still exploring their options, transferred to a non-NCAA school, or left their sport, the NCAA data shows. The remainder of athletes withdrew from the transfer portal.

  12. The conversation is well under way here: We want to stick with current HS players here on the main page.
