  1. You were flapping your gums about RY. Your statements were incorrect. You don’t know jack about either former Trojan when it comes to their track or speed backgrounds. Do yourself a favor, admit it and tackle the next issue. The only spew that comes from your mouth is 100% self inflicted

  2. You truly don’t know when to stop, do you?? I was at a number of his track meets as one of our children was running on the team. He was competitive. But hey, it is impossible for you to be wrong, so time for me to move on.

  4. Screagle is right. If a player has NFL chops, the scouts will find them. That’s their job. And gobs of guys who don’t play P5 — or in the elite tier of P5 — make it to the NFL. There is zero question in my mind that a player should value playing time over destination. They do hang in a balance, of course. Playing time in the SEC would be better than playing time in the Mountain West. But playing in the Mountain West worked out pretty well for that “other” QB named Allen. That’s not to say Brady wouldn’t play at Ole Miss (or wherever). I have no idea. But I don’t think he’d be hurting his chances at a pro career by going G5. If he has what it takes, they’ll find him.

  5. Russ ran 4.58…current Bengals RB Chris Evans ran 4.52 at his pro day. Evans was an all-state sprinter and ran high 10.7/low 10.8 for the 100 meter dash, meaning it is feasible to think Yeast is high 10.9/11.0 if he focused on the sport. Sub 11 second 100 meter guys just don’t grow on trees.

  6. Not sure. I think a player has to find the right fit with coaching. Great coaches and great position coaches from D3 to FBS. I think players get a pretty good idea how things are going to shake out and what their chances are of being QB1. Ultimately, most probably want a chance to play asap regardless of level. NFL scouts go to a lot of college practices from FCS, G5 and obviously P5. If you can play they will notice.

  7. You would be incorrect….again. CG’a track results for this period can be found. Do the homework. Russ is not his sister when it comes to track speed. He’d be the first to tell you that.

  8. Thanks. Nuebert was a student at Purdue at the same time as me and I remember him covering Purdue athletics for The Exponent. Agreed. He's fantastic, doesn't pull punched, and will never be caught playing the role of fanboy with his head in the sand.
