  1. More than likely, I believe he will be told by doctors to not keep playing. Not sure what league protocol would be either. I also do not believe that one incident makes you more susceptible to it happening again compared to someone who has never had it happen. I will be curious to see how this plays out for him. I am just glad he is still here and on the road to recovery. I did see he had a provision in his contract that he would only be paid a percentage of his contract if he ended up on the IR. The Bills front office, with the agreement of the NFL and the NFLPA, are going to pay him his full salary through this. Very classy move on the part of the Bills owner and front office.

  2. I forgot to mention that along with the mask, I did wear the best cup money could buy back then. There's some things worth saving.

  3. Each year I compile a “Dynasty Ranking” for the national sites that I post on. The Dynasty Rankings are a compilation of my Top 100 polls since 2008. Points are earned by finishing in the final poll each season. A school is awarded 25 points for finishing in the Top 100 of a year-end poll. In addition, each school in the poll also receives points based on their finish in the poll. For instance, a school ranked at the top of the poll receives 125 points while the team that finishes ranked 100th receives 26 points. There are currently 561 teams in the 2023 Dynasty Rankings. Texas leads with 61 teams, followed by Florida with 54 teams, California with 48 teams, Georgia with 37 teams and Ohio with 28 teams. Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Rhode Island do not have any teams in the poll. Concord (CA) De La Salle was the top ranked team at the end of the 2023 season. De La Salle has led the poll since 2012. Ramsay (NJ) Don Bosco Prep led in years 2010-2011, with Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas leading after the initial poll in 2008, while Austin (TX) Lake Travis led in 2009. A note of caution to De La Salle, at the end of 2019 they led the poll for the top spot by 211 points. However, due to earning just 52 points in the last two years, their lead has slipped to just 23 points over Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman. For this site, I have decided to post the Top 25 (Dynasty Rankings) from the end of last season, a brief statistical summary of the state of Indiana and a list of the teams in the poll from Indiana. If you would like to see a complete list, PM me and I will send you a copy. 5. I'd pump the brakes on Bryce Young and future NFL success, but that is just me and my concern for 6'0 quarterbacks

  6. Well, if I was Jimmy, Ballard would have been gone, along with Frank, after the season ending loss to Jacksonville last season. IMO, a top level coach isn't going to consider the Colts as long as Ballard is the GM.

  7. Mic picked up. Said the kid was more of a bruiser then he was a speed back. That’s it. That’s not “less than positive” it’s categorizing the kid. Track times don’t lie. I know the sport and might actually surprise you in knowing more than you think about how Moore runs his program. I’ve spoken to the man and actually coached against him. Steele never ran an open varsity 100 meter dash in a championship meet and never cracked the Trojans’ 4x100 lineup in a championship/tournament meet either. This is telling. I’m a huge Carson Steele fan. Love the way the kid plays and I made my reasons known for why I believe he ended up at Ball State above. His “football speed” speaks for itself but if I had to categorize the strengths, his speed would not be the first thing out of my mouth. It’s adequate but nowhere near elite. I mean his offer list (prepare to get your feelings hurt because that’s what you do) out of high school speaks for itself. If the kid had the strength to throw the shot put 50+ feet AND run sub 11 in the 100 (roughly high 4.5 in the 40) he would be coveted by every major college in the country…but he wasn’t. I’ve already schooled you on Russ. His 4.58 proves he has sub 11.0 100 meter speed were he to focus on the sport. I don’t mind being the villain and I’m sorry the two of you have a personal connection to CG therefore you are claiming some sort of disrespect despite the fact that I’ve spoken only truths on this subject. Mic is back on the ground.

  8. That’s what I’d do. They gave up their 2nd round to get Claypool. That’s a pretty good pick, it’ll be the 32nd player taken. Would be nice to recoup that, since they overpaid on that occasion.

  9. The QB from last year was a fantastic leader and was just limited to size(5'7" on a good day) and ability but was well respected by his teammates. The QB for next year will probably be a sophomore who's probably up to 6'2" and a lot more athletic and can sling it. Had a great freshman year as the JV QB so it will be interesting to see next year how the coaching staff looks to utilize him.

  10. Great question....I have been thinking the same thing once Damar fully recovers. I can't help from wondering what will be the opinion of his doctors...and how much that will weigh into both his decision and the decisions of GM's. So happy he is pulling through and on the right track. I so hate he has went through this life challenge....but the beauty from it has been absolutely incredible.

  11. Does your ego to allow you to acknowledge that maybe you were the troll that jumped on a thread you didn't create with less than positive comments about the person the thread is about? This entire thread was about CS getting some nice time on ESPN and later his move to UCLA, only to have you try and find some fault with the kid. Don't confuse disappearing as a lack of substance....just tired of playing your game.

  12. No one mocked you....simply disagreed with your comments first about CS track assumptions by Coach Moore, then your inflated speed comments about RY. You are not close to the CG program and some of those comments made were simply inaccurate. I did ask you a simple comment about how many times have you seen Steele tackled from behind on break away runs either in HS or college. You avoided the question...repeatedly. I challenged you to go out and find some of RY's track results from his CG days. Really solid times....but not the fastest on the team...not in the top 2-3 on the HS team. That is fact...I sat in those stands. I understand you try to come across as the "all knowing football expert" on this forum. Always right and never wrong....that's why I don't like debating with you as that your ego will not allow you to just stop, even when you are out of your lane. You making assumptions doesn't make something fact. Sometimes its better to just stop and move on to the next topic.

  13. Solid numbers. Looks like the vast majority of their running backs were not seniors and, even though their QB was a senior, he wasn't responsible for a lot of ground or air yards. Sometimes though the best QBs are so because of what's between their ears vs. the power of their legs/arms. I didn't see any backup QB stats listed for Rochester. Do they have someone waiting in the wings to step in and run the offense; turning those backs loose to do their thing?

  17. Playing in MWC almost didn’t work out for Josh Allen…he didn’t even want to play for Wyoming at first. actually kinda funny story about him…at the time when he committed to Wyoming I had 2 uncles working for the Marshall football recruiting office….Josh Allen was BEGGING to get an offer…most at Marshall liked him a lot and told the coaches they should offer. The coach who had the final decision(Idk if it was QB coach/OC/ or HC) was quoted by my uncle as saying (in some southern draw of an accent) “I don’t want to bring in a QB…I like the QB we got…I like the QB we got coming in next year too.” so Josh Allen went to Wyoming as his only offer and like 3 years later that coach was fired/resigned from Marshall

  19. It looks like Damar Hamlin is progressing quite well. He's off the ventilator and talking to his family and teammates. The on field support was more than adequate, as has been his support in the intensive care unit of the UC Hospital! Hats off to all who participated to this point.

  20. Nobody who watched Carson play regularly is surprised by his success. I laughed when I heard IU told him he lacked breakaway speed. How often does that come into play for IU vs. a guy who can break tackles? IU's backs get an open hole about as often as Halley's Comet makes a pass.
