  2. I think taking a preferred walkon is great for some tweeners and not so good for others....it depends on many many factors. For example, I might try to persuade some kids to take the DII or NAIA money especially if the school is strong in a field of academic interest for the kid. Getting on the practice field for an FBS school and starting at an FBS school are two different ball games.....so it really depends on a kid's goals are what the right choice is. I am sure Clay made the right choice for him.

  3. I'm with Screagle here...they had a great season given the depth of the conference last year. I have learned over the last dozen years or so that sometimes it's more about the depth of the field year over year.

  7. Have some unique perspective on Beimemy, as I have a real good friend who is good friends with Chiefs former QB coach, who is in NY last year and didn't have a lot of great things to say about Biememy from his time with KC. Interesting enough, same coach interviewed for all 6 NFL openings and had some interesting things to say about 3 teams for sure: Arizona, Colts, and Texans. Believe it or not Texans he felt were really well ran organization now that they got rid of some guy a year ago, they had their stuff together and could see them make huge steps moving forward. Colts interview, was told he couldn't do anything with the defense or special teams and that those staffs were locked in and couldn't be touched. Arizona, DUMPSTER FIRE. New Owner was an idiot, literally asked the coach this question, "What are your thoughts on President Trump". Then called him a midwest liptard, assuming he was being from Chicago, then went on for 90 mins about politics, turns out his best friend is current speaker of the house, he couldn't get out of their fast enough. Literally, NFL owner and that is what he is doing, smh, sad really

  8. -Reitz should be tops in SIAC but not ready to say Big Gap. Committed a lot of bad penalties last year and they were no-shows in the tournament. Certainly the favorites on paper. -VL should be in the top 4 with all the returning talent. Great athlete at QB. Need to finish games this year. -Memorial. I trust Hurley will be just fine with Fisher/Bryant, a top notch RB and athletes on the outside. Possibly one of the more athletic teams Memorials had in recent years. Worth noting..there’s also a Combs entering 10th grade. -MD and their staff always find a way to be physical and tough regardless of the names. -North is always scary but unless they replaced their OC they will be middle of pack. Always have dudes but just seem to fall short of expectations. -Jasper is just different than any team in the siac. Never underestimate the Cats. Tough to beat Jasper in any sport. -Castle played much better than I expected last season. Expect them to be very competitive most nights. Never short on QB talent or WR talent. Bosse, Harrison, and Central. just stay healthy in these games.

  10. I will give you coach speak here. We will be running the systems which fit our players. I have a system I want to run, but if the players do not fit that system, then I will have to change. The only aspect I can tell you for sure is we will be attacking where we have the advantages. 14 years Varsity Football coaching experience- Jasper, Forest Park, Springs Valley 3 years AD- Vincennes Rivet 6 years Varsity Track and Field Coach- Jasper, Vincennes Rivet 5 years Middle School Basketball Coach- Holy Family (Jasper feeder) Hope that answers all your questions!

  13. Would have guessed the state's largest school would also be the pettiest? This looks like an overreaction by the Carmel administration. It appears they got beat, so they are taking their ball and going home. At least they can find some swimmers in a school of 5,000 and remain dominant in something.
