  1. Well played sir…rumor has it my guys are making in roads at Glenville for the first time in forever. Michigan rarely, if ever gets kids from there. Just glad the rivalry is fun again…Thanksgiving was getting depressing there for a while.

  2. These twins from St. Edward just committed to the Buckeyes. After all, today is “Two for Tuesday.”

  3. thanks....sounds like we had different experiences as it was more than comradery for my children and myself. I guess my expectation is that good coaches should teach you more than the game, as most people will stop playing the game when high school ends, so what does a person really take with them to apply to life? I don't think it matters if the entity is a private or public, as I think we'd all agree that much of education occurs outside of the classroom. Maybe call it a tangible benefit, such as icing on a cake.

  4. I think taking a preferred walkon is great for some tweeners and not so good for others....it depends on many many factors. For example, I might try to persuade some kids to take the DII or NAIA money especially if the school is strong in a field of academic interest for the kid. Getting on the practice field for an FBS school and starting at an FBS school are two different ball games.....so it really depends on a kid's goals are what the right choice is. I am sure Clay made the right choice for him.
