As a final send off to 2023, Tom Allen contract at PSU is 3 years, starting at $1.5M first year it is reported. What a year for Tom Allen, just had to lose plenty to win. All he needed to cap it was great legal and accounting.
Anyone know that song "Act Naturally" by Buck Owens and the Buckaroos?

Lee Corso stated of his years at IU that his recruiting philosophy was to find out who Michigan and Ohio St were recruiting and then go after the ones they weren't.

Maybe Iowa will have an O with a new O play caller not a Ferentz.

The Ohio Department of Education has announced that it will now recognize a sports officiating license issued by the #OHSAA as an Industry Recognized Credential, which can be counted as credit toward high school graduation requirements within the health career field.

Tom Allen will have a much larger voice and subsequent impact at Penn State (one way or the other) as DC than Kevin Wilson did at Ohio State. Wilson was OC in name-only. Ryan Day has and continues to call plays at Ohio State and did so throughout Wilson's entire tenure.
Expected Tom Allen to only go for a strong, hands on approach with what he decided on next. After all, he has the $. All he needed was his dream situation. Penn St D makes great sense. Good for him. And the $ as DC will be as Cousin Eddie said in Christmas Vacation, "something real nice."

Desoto was off the chain.
Duncanville and North Shore have a lot of talent. The end going to TX has major skill.
Aledo was extremely good for a school that size. The LB going to LSU wreaked havoc.

If Tom Allen goes to Penn St as DC, that says he has a lot of drive to win now. Will he become a torturer of IU football just as Kevin Wilson was at Ohio State?

Pacers were gods to me as a young kid. Neto was at my house one time-he had to duck through doorways. McGinnis and Doc Erving were the stars of stars in the ABA, and the ABA had a lot of top players.

Timpson TX-not just Bussey, but they appeared incredible for a school so small. Could not imagine that in Indiana.

Perhaps Brown County should consider going to 8 man.

TX finals this week. Tune in. North Shore and Duncanville have some players.
FL-Chaminade-those receivers. Yet another top dude going to Ohio St to torture the IU and Purdue crowds in the future.

Probably the best group of wide receivers I have ever seen on a high school football team.

Florida playoff divisions mystifying though-rural, suburban and metro.

Chaminade hits end zone on all 8 possessions, wins 56-0.

Wonder if 6 man would have become more popular than 8.

Sounds like he coached with Nick Saban and verbalized the things Saban would have said in private when he was at MSU.
Anyone question what Coach Smart (former Saban protege) said last year to his team about TCU. Was that more than hyperbole? Was that his actual core belief? The outcome resembled that.

I was at a loss for words when it was suggested that he said that. I assumed maybe he said that to the media, which would have been bad. I don't see anything wrong with saying something like that to rev up the student body.
Great hire in my opinion. Reminds me of Brian Kelly how he's done well at every stop. Learning from Saban helps just a little too. He sounds like he knows what he's doing, not just a rah rah guy.
