I would--- dump the scrimmage week and make that week 1, and yes, move to a 10 game regular season.
With the ability to do scrimmages during the summer this would make sense when trying to get a 10 game regular season.

I worked with Romison at Peru and can tell you that he is a great man, leader, father and husband. He will do a great job of leading the young men of Munster!! Best of luck Coach!

Wonder if the QB from Peru was put up. Would have liked to see him make it. Great dual threat player. Averaged 28 yards a pass and almost 7 yards a rush. Didn't get a lot of snaps in the 4th quarter because of the lead they had on most teams they played.
He was put up and so was Ross our LB/RB, who in my opinion, is one of the best LB in the state. His stats where not indicative of his production defensively and to add that he only played about 2.5 quarters in the majority of our games.

Does the TRC look to add one? I would think so. Some fits:
Cass? Pioneer? Winamac? Caston?
I think Cass is definitely the most attractive, followed by Pioneer.
With the uncertainty of the the Metro of Wabash situation it wouldn't make sense to add one at this time. We can play a full conference schedule and have one non conference opponent now.

Chris Makowski was promoted and board approved to be Peru's next Head Coach. He has served as our OL coach for the last 12 seasons. We look forward to having him lead our program!

Travis you're doing a great job there at Greenfield Central. It's always nice to see form college opponents doing great things! Keep up the great work!

Where is Mason going to school next season and is he planning on playing football? That kid can sling the rock and his size alone should put him on the radar for college programs. Bowen is a beast also. I love to see the small schools get some love in this Mr. Football award. Those guys could be stars at any level in HS.

He was a legend in the Auburn area. Sorry to hear of his passing.

I thought I saw that Central Noble was open as well but can not find article to verify.

I like the idea of a jamboree again. With the schedule opened up to summer scrimmages, players get enough of that controlled look. It would be fun to see how your team stacks up in real game time situations before the first game of the season. Back when the controlled scrimmages took over for the jamboree, summers were not open to football activities and competition. Bring back the Jamboree!!

Best of luck in your retirement Coach! I'd like to say it was a pleasure coaching against you but your team usually got the best of us.

Has this gone official yet? I keep waiting to see this position updated on the coaches list.
