    In the NIC - WEEK # 6

St. Joe better find some dudes for this weekend. Penn isn't going to take it easy.. 4 very frustrating fist weeks, time to take it out on the NIC.

    NIC WEEK # 3

They seemed to have figured it out this past weekend.

    NIC WEEK # 3

That is assuming Penn does not get better at all as the season progresses.

    NIC WEEK # 3

Over Brother Rice or EC? Penn's D is making big plays early this year, hope they can keep up that great work....Give the O some time to find their rhythm.

    NIC Week # 2

I don't blame play calling for the struggles in the first half last week, but if they call more quick hitting pass plays to give young Ron some confidence I agree with your thoughts on a possible big win. But, the brand new tackles on the edge will be tested once again. If they can give Ron time on the longer pass plays I think we could see great things from Ron and the Penn O.

    IFCA Poll (Week 2)

I have a feeling this is going to be another growing pains year for Penn early. The Valpo game was not pretty in the first half, however they made big plays in the second half when they needed them the most. I would probably rank Penn 8-10 based on youth and the potential learning curve that needs to set in, but they are talented and if they stay healthy they will be good come the tourney.

    NIC Week # 2

Penn o-line needs to block the edges better....did a much better job in the second half controlling the line both on offense and defense. The O could utilize quick hitting pass plays to help get Ron's confidence up....but the touch passes he did complete were beautiful. I am excited to see how this team can grow and how well they handle adversity....so far they did a good job not letting Valpo run away with the game Friday.

    Mishawaka to NLC

So if Bart takes advantage of his new found pool of talent, which is larger than Mishawaka's....and begins to run the NLC like Penn does the NIC, how fast will the other league members push Warsaw out. Seems like the NLC is ok with a big school as long as they can beat them. Will NW, Concord, Northridge and Plymouth be ok with not winning conference titles year in and year out? Mishawaka is already use to that situation so it shouldn't bother them too much....

    Mishawaka to NLC

Mishwaka does not need the NIC, but Mishawaka having Penn on their schedule helps prepare them more for tourney play than Mishawaka helping Penn prepare for tourney play. The rivalry will live on, just need to see how Penn works out their nc games at that time. Maybe at that point Penn will have decided to go Independent and wont have to worry about working the Cavemen in.

    Agree 100%

    Mishawaka to NLC

PENN will dominate any Northern Indiana conference they join.

    NIC 2018

Clay is in recent years has been stuck in reverse. The program will not be competitive in the "small school" division, based on lack of competitiveness in games against current members of that division. It is unfortunate to see this because they used to have some good teams. I am excited to see what New Prairie has to offer in the "Big" School division. Interested to see the new look Cave folks in Mishawaka. Is the new coach going to run Bart's system, or are they going to a new o? I anticipate Marian being solid even with a new head coach.

    Cathedral and Penn

I was at that game and it was phenomenal. Saginaw was very entertaining with their band and they traveled very well.

    6A Football

If Penn can stay healthy and find some more explosive receivers they will be very tough to beat. Penn has lacked any really speed on the wings of the O in recent seasons. As of right now 6A North goes through Mishawaka. Time will tell.
  15. They aren't taking anymore space then what is already there as a part of the stadium. This new building if anything will eat into that field to the south of the stadium which is where they practice. The biggest club sport that Penn has is rugby and there is a field over by the soccer grounds that they use to practice. LAX I think practices at a PHM elementary school field.
