  1. He wasn't referencing Bell, he was referencing the WR (maybe #10?) who got hurt during the game on Friday. Had to have surgery that night to put a pin in his leg. I
  2. 4A/3A is done. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qZClN5eTEgKUoG_aINem7AUL9vs51K6WKyUf0q6LwWI/edit?usp=sharing Congrats to Stratman for winning 3A with a score of 56. He beat out two others who had 55. Congrats to WarriorBroncho77 in winning 4A. With a score of 57. He beat out a host of others who had 54. Thanks to Temptation in putting this together.

    Day 1 State Finals

@falconsfbref Did you happen to sit up in Section 218? I was up there with my son and I saw/overheard some guys talking about the officiating and mechanics. Interesting stuff.
  4. Yeah I saw that too. Then he had to be convinced to go through the handshake line. Hardly shook anyone's hands. It's a shame too, he had a heck of a game on the DL.
  5. Updated 3A/4A https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qZClN5eTEgKUoG_aINem7AUL9vs51K6WKyUf0q6LwWI/edit?usp=sharing Interesting- no one correctly picked both 4A finalists. Most of us had Chatard as winning or at least making the final game. 5 people correctly picked the 3A championship game.
  6. Eastbrook was near the top in 2A class size, like 25 or so students from being in 3A. It's not impossible to have a couple large classes and get bumped up into 3A. Semi State winners earn 3 points, so if you win Semi State in the two year cycle, you move up to the next class.
  7. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qZClN5eTEgKUoG_aINem7AUL9vs51K6WKyUf0q6LwWI/edit?usp=sharing Updated 3A/4A Standings
  8. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qZClN5eTEgKUoG_aINem7AUL9vs51K6WKyUf0q6LwWI/edit?usp=sharing 3A & 4A updated through Sectional Championships.
  9. Not much to say really. Lapel is a good team, they have a good QB and their offense can score. They also played a good solid schedule and their losses were against some pretty solid teams. The regular season game was a rainy one and Lapel had tons of drops that game. At least 2 would have been for touchdowns, so the score would have been closer in the regular season. The sectional championship game came down to a couple little things that didn't go Doah's way. I think they had 3 plays where there were blown coverages, 2 resulted in TDs on that play and the other resulted in a TD later. The third quarter was rough, Lapel received the kick off and scored after a fairly long drive. They then squib/onside kicked it and recovered. Lapel then scored on that possession as well. Lapel had the ball for almost 9 minutes in the 3rd quarter before Doah even touched the ball. Combine all that with 4 turnovers, it makes it hard to win, no matter who you're playing. But the kids fought back to tie it and send it to overtime. Our kicker had a rough night, he was 1/4 and the one he made, he banked in off the up right. So the coaches felt going for 2 in OT was at least as equal of a chance as the kicker attempting the PAT. Unfortunately they couldn't convert. Lapel played well and nothing should be taken from their kids. Their QB put the team on his back and carried them to the win.
  10. Here is a quick spreadsheet of the 3A/4A bracket results. Nothing fancy yet. And I must say these are "unofficial". I'll have more time to double check everything on Sunday and hope to have results for the first 2 rounds done by then. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qZClN5eTEgKUoG_aINem7AUL9vs51K6WKyUf0q6LwWI/edit?usp=sharing
