  1. At halftime both teams had 121 yards of offense the final numbers were 377 HH and 182 SR.
  2. Herald reported broken Collar Bone said surgery was successful and expected 4-6 week recovery .
  3. http://www.812hoops.com/heritage-hills-vs-gibson-southern-full-game.html
  4. We had a 6 quarter period that was pretty bad, Patriot 74 already mentioned the Jasper game but the following Friday at North Posey we had 3 more turnovers all in the first half ( 2 fumbles and 1 interception ) In addition to the lost fumbles we had 2 or 3 other fumbles in those 2 games we recovered. If we had put the ball on the ground against the Titans like we did against Jasper and North Posey we probable wouldn't be talking about a unbeaten matchup.
  5. I wonder if there is any chance the SR QB will be back for this game ?? Injured in week 3 and had surgery the next week I believe, Paper said 4-6 weeks but maybe a quick healer. According to MaxPreps Taylor was 19 out of 32 for 470 yards with 7 touchdowns and 4 Interceptions in 3 games, His replacement Niehaus is 12 out of 26 for 324 yards with 4 touchdowns and no interceptions.
  6. I doubt this would fly in 2019 especially at a middle school football game.
  7. Yeah I missed Pike Central we have played them 48 times including 3 time in sectionals. Pike and Gibson first season was 1974 we played Petersburgh , Fort Branch and Haubstadt in 1972 and 1973. Also we had one season the Pike game was canceled and not made up because the Charger head coach committed suicide. South Spencer and I believe North Posey both consolidated before Heritage Hills and Pike Central and Gibson Southern after Heritage Hills. Heritage Hills didn't open until the midway point of the 1972-1973 school year and the Heritage Hills home games were played at Dale High School under the Heritage Hills name in 1972. They even had co-Homecoming Queens in 1972 a North-South with one from Chrisney and one from Dale. Here is our first season. I didn't know about the 2 homecoming queens until this past season Jon was wanting to develop a player database for the upcoming HH Hall of fame plaza and needed list of ex-players so I went to library and was taking pictures of old football team pictures in the old yearbooks and in the 1973 book saw the homecoming picture.
  8. BTW: The Raiders have also beaten us more then any other opponent with the 14 wins. Other teams that have double figure wins against us are South Spencer 12, Jasper 11, North Posey 11, Gibson Southern 11 and Evansville Memorial 11. Memorial did it in just 17 meetings.
  9. This is the 48th season of Patriot football since we have never played North Posey in the playoffs we have played them 48 times, We have played South Spencer once in playoffs so we will play them for the 49th time in week 9 and played Southridge twice in playoffs so the answer is Southridge.
  10. Didn't Tecumseh get a new Football field at the high school a few years ago ?? And are JV games at the new field ?? Heritage Hills Freshman play the Tecumseh JV team Tuesday and want to make sure I go to the correct location. Thanks !
  11. Southridge 6-0 at Heritage Hills 6-0 This is the 50th time Heritage Hills and Southridge have met on the gridiron and the Patriots lead the series 35-14. Southridge is one of only 3 teams that was on the Patriot football schedule in their inaugural season in 1972 that the Patriots have played at least once every season since. Both teams come into this game 4-0 in conference play. The Patriots are averaging 43.7 ppg and giving up 6.7 ppg and the Raiders are averaging 37.5 ppg and giving up 13.0 ppg. 1972 HH 29 Southridge 8 1973 HH 10 Southridge 0 1974 Southridge 38 HH 0 1975 Southridge 9 HH 7 1976 Southridge 19 HH 13 1977 HH 29 Southridge 8 1978 Southridge 15 HH 11 1979 HH 36 Southridge 14 1980 HH 34 Southridge 2 1981 Southridge 7 HH 6 1982 HH 18 Southridge 13 1983 Record HH 13 Southridge 7 1984 Southridge 27 HH 14 1985 Southridge 45 HH 14 1986 HH 29 Southridge 0 1987 HH 40 Southridge 13 1988 HH 49 Southridge 22 1989 Southridge 12 HH 7 1990 HH 26 Southridge 6 1990 Sectional HH 27 Southridge 20 1991 HH 20 Southridge 0 1992 Record HH 39 Southridge 12 1993 HH 38 Southridge 0 1994 HH 42 Southridge 6 1995 HH 51 Southridge 6 1996 Record HH 36 Southridge 12 1997 HH 46 Southridge 0 1998 Southridge 21 HH 20(OT) 1999 HH 31 Southridge 0 2000 HH 42 Southridge 6 2001 HH 30 Southridge 0 2002 Heritage Hills 42 Southridge 0 2003 Heritage Hills 43 Southridge 8 2004 Heritage Hills 48 Southridge 28 2005 Heritage Hills 33 Southridge 0 2006 Heritage Hills 26 Southridge 0 2007 Heritage Hills 35 Southridge 13 2008 Southridge 26 Heritage Hills 7 2009 Heritage Hills 21 Southridge 14 2010 Heritage Hills 15 Southridge 12 2011 Heritage Hills 21 Southridge 0 2012 Heritage Hills 34 Southridge 0 2013 Southridge 34 Heritage Hills 8 2014 H Hills 33 Southridge 7 2015 H Hills 17 Southridge 7 2016 Southridge 29 Heritage Hills 17 2016 Sectional Southridge 37 Heritage Hills 34 ( 2 overtimes ) 2017 Southridge 17 Heritage Hills 7 2018 Heritage Hills 24 Southridge 17
  12. In 3 games against us counting both games last season he's 42 out of 86 for 538 yards with 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
  13. If it was originally listed as 4 yard average it was probably a error with digital scout and had been corrected we punted twice and had a 46 yard average. Gibson Southern Turnovers are listed wrong also they had 3 interceptions and a loss fumble.
  14. After Gibson had that goal line stand at the end of the first half I was worried even though it was 21-0, I was telling people around me big difference in 21-0 and 28-0 especially with the Titans having the ball to start the 2nd half. I thought our secondary played very well considering Brady Allen seemed to have all day to pass.
  15. Pretty sure Gibson Southern had 4 turnovers, 3 interceptions and a fumble. If you look at the stats at the top it lists 2 interceptions and a fumble but in individual defense it lists 3 different Patriots with a pick.
  16. Outside of convenience stores there isn't much in the way of restaurants between Heritage Hills and Santa Claus. Hoosier land Pizza and Wings is the closest to the high school in Santa Claus they have Brick Oven Pizza and a Subway. Cant think of much else but plenty of Pizza options Caseys, Circle S and Stoneridge Station all sell pizza and other food.
  17. Ferdinand has McDonalds, Wendy's and Taco Bell . Dale, Santa Claus and Ferdinand all have Subway.
  18. I can think of a few that gave up other sports but it does seem like football is dropped the most. The Buse kid that transferred to Tecumseh was really good at Football, Basketball and Baseball as a freshman but decided after his freshman season to give up basketball and concentrate on Football and Baseball. I would imagine AAU is as much to blame as football being dangerous...At HH we have kids that go from basketball season to spring AAU to summer basketball then back to AAU when the IHSAA moratorium kicks in and then play in the Pocket City fall league and right back to basketball season. Can you imagine if we still had Scherry playing football ?? 6'2" good jumper, good hands , speed and can even kick, booted a 34-yard field goal as time was running out his freshman season to beat Gibson Southern in a JV game. I would guess he would be the top receiver on the team and one of if not top defensive back. As much as I would love to see him playing football I can understand why he gave it up 2 time all-conference in both basketball and baseball and verbally committed to Evansville baseball but still getting college looks in basketball.
  19. Sophomore Bender # 7 started and number 13 came in with the 2nd team. Bender looked like a good athlete and quick but struggled against the Patriot experienced secondary he finished 2 of 11 for 19 yards and 4 interceptions and had 4 rushes for negative 4 yards.
  20. Last time I can remember a Heritage Hills player score 4 different ways was Kenton Crews 2014 against Southridge. Punt Return, Interception return, Reception and Rush. http://hhqbclub.com/history/HH-srfball2014.html
  21. History This is the 43rd meeting between Heritage Hills and Gibson Southern and the Patriots lead the series 31-11, The Patriots also faced three teams that consolidated into Gibson Southern in the 1972 and 1973 seasons and went 0-2 VS. Fort Branch, 1-1 VS. Haubstadt and 2-0 VS. Owensville. In the first season of Patriot football the Patriots went 9-1 and their only loss was a 15-12 defeat by Fort Branch. The Titans won the first 3 meetings in the series beating Roger Snow’s Patriots in 1974, 75 and 76 and the Patriots didn’t beat them for the first time until 1977 the year Bob Ashworth became the Patriots head coach, that season was hall of famer Bob Claytons only season as Offensive Cordinator at Heritage Hills the following season Ashworth moved onto Evansville Reitz and Clayton took over the Heritage Hills program.. The Titans have won 7 of the last 11 meetings starting with a win in 2010 that snapped the Patriots streak of 21 straight wins over the Titans. Heritage Hills and Gibson Southern have played 5 overtime games in the series including a 7-0 five overtime game in 1982. 1974 Gibson Southern 27 HH 6 1975 Gibson Southern 16 HH 0 1976 Gibson Southern 26 HH 0 1977 HH 16 Gibson Southern 0 1978 HH 28 Gibson Southern 8 1979 HH 20 Gibson Southern 0 1980 HH 21 Gibson Southern 15 OT 1981 HH 14 Gibson southern 12 1982 HH 7 Gibson Southern 0 in 5 overtimes 1983 Gibson Southern 22 HH 21 (OT) 1984 HH 7 Gibson Southern 0 1986 Sectional HH 13 Gibson Southern 7 1989 Sectional HH 34 Gibson Southern 13 1993 HH 32 Gibson Southern 7 1994 HH 33 Gibson Southern 19 1995 HH 54 Gibson Southern 14 1996 HH 20 Gibson Southern 3 1997 HH 42 Gibson Southern 6 1998 HH 32 Gibson Southern 12 1999 HH 54 Gibson Southern 0 2000 HH 63 Gibson Southern 0 2001 HH 40 Gibson Southern 23 2001 Sectional HH 28 Gibson Southern 7 2002 Heritage Hills 63 Gibson Southern 6 2003 Heritage Hills 42 Gibson Southern 0 2004 Heritage Hills 48 Gibson Southern 7 2005 Heritage Hills 19 Gibson Southern 7 2006 Heritage Hills 14 Gibson Southern 13 overtime 2007 Heritage Hills 27 Gibson Southern 10 2008 Heritage Hills 49 Gibson Southern 21 2009 Heritage Hills 41 Gibson Southern 0 2010 Gibson Southern 35 Heritage Hills 34 (1OT) 2011 Heritage Hills 27 Gibson Southern 0 2012 Gibson Southern 14 Heritage Hills 10 2013 Gibson Southern 50 Heritage Hills 26 2014 Heritage Hills 38 Gibson Southern 33 2014 sectional H Hills 14 Gibson Southern 13 2015 Gibson Southern 42 Heritage Hills 13 2016 Gibson Southern 38 Heritage Hills 10 2017 Gibson Southern 48 Heritage Hills 7 2018 Heritage Hills 31 Gibson Southern 7 2018 sectional Gibson Southern 24 Heritage Hills 14 Pre-consolidation 1972 Heritage Hills 27 Haubstadt 6 1972 Fort Branch 15 Heritage Hills 12 1972 Heritage Hills 34 Owensville 6 1973 Haubstadt 7 Heritage Hills 6 1973 Fort Branch 14 Heritage Hills 0 1973 Heritage Hills 12 Owensville 0
