That's definitely not very good money, especially when it requires a degree. The Indiana Department of Correction pays a rookie correctional officer better than that and the minimum requirement is a GED, a driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug screen and a background check. The work is dangerous, but I digress.

The problem will only worsen. When I first began I knew, accepted, and (potentially wrongly) assumed teaching was a low pay/high status job. In my opinion, it has moved to a low pay/low status job. I'm okay with one, but not both.

Why teach when you can make transition into another career with immediate hefty raises? Seems like we're on a sinking ship.

All bets are off when these two get together. Dwenger plays Snider with more passion than any other team on their schedule, and have for four decades. Probably the most fierce rivalry in the SAC. I wouldn't be surprise one iota if the Saints win this one.

I agree. When "Blitz" wrote his article saying that Luers/Dwenger was superior, I just shook my head.

    8. Best Defensive Stud - Caden Curry of Center Grove   What more can be said about Curry?  He is a 4 Star recruit with offers from every major college in the country.  He will likely elevate to 5 star status and become the most highly recruited player in Indiana High School  Football state history.  Curry does not have huge sacks or TFA numbers this year, as teams generally either double team him or run the other way.  The 6-5 , 260lb junior has a huge future, and will likely be a first round NFL draft choice after his JR year.  Would love to see him stay in Big Ten country.  Would look great in Maize and Blue.

And what do we tell Johnny Football in 5 years when he is $100K in debt and getting ready to start his fabulous career as a Gym Teacher for $35000 in Podunk, Indiana?

Oh wait, President Warren will likely forgive that debt as part of her income redistribution initiative

Yes, yes, yes.  There are so many positives to being a walk on at a larger program compared to paying 30k+ at any smaller private.

you know, if you want people to click on your links, you really should click on theirs as well.  247 has been all over the place this year, as evidenced by Hartwig listed twice in both lists.  You are posting the old list where Fryar is listed as #1 recruit in IN as a 4 star.  Most recent list has Brevard as #1 and  Craig as #2.  Both as four stars as well.

247, the actual service itself puts out their own list.  They also put out the 247 composite list that takes into account their own rankings, ESPN, Rivals, and possibly Scout. Both of you are technically correct, but the 247 composite is widely considered the norm.

One of my coolest travel stories ever didnt even start with a high school game in mind. A buddy and I went to Bloomington for the Bucket game. It was about half time and Purdue was killing IU and I turned to my buddy and said hey Roncolli is playing Jasper for a semi-state title tonight in Jasper wanna leave here and head to the game? Him being as crazy as I am said sure. Neither of us had ever been to Jasper so I had to look it up on my phone. We hopped in the truck and started down south to go watch the game. I put in Jasper High School in my phone thinking the stadium was at the school. Well we get there and the school looks deserted. A guys just happened to be walking his dog and told us the field was actually near the center of town. We got there the visiting stands and home stands were packed so we ended up standing I  the end zone. I looked over and low and behold Jimmy "Mad Dog" was standing right next to me chewing on a cigar. Didnt get back into indy till almost 1 in the morning. Best road trip for football I've ever been on.

    I love traveling

Similar to a buddy and I's tradition. Thanksgiving Thursday, downtown Indy Thursday night, state games Friday,  Bucket game Saturday, and if the Colts are at home......
