    Edmond verbals to Michigan…😉

JoJo was my neighbor boy growing up as a grade schooler in Michigan City before his family moved to Indianapolis and subsequently moved to Napanee.  NorthWood is going to have an awesome season this year and can’t wait to see some of their games.  Looking forward to see him play on Saturdays on TV in the future.

It is going to be a fun football season for me watching JoJo, Syracuse recruit Jaden Hart at Michigan City Florida State graduate transfer Braden Fiske.  Also recent Georgia graduate and Philadelphia Eagles rookie Kelee Ringo has a lot of strong family ties in Michigan City.

So I have to ask, what's next for the slicers...

why does this place seem to be such a coaching graveyard

i know there is talent there but if you don't cultivate it, it will move away

sorry for the honesty but let's get real

Per hometown news now.com 2012 LaPorte grad Austin Epple is now the “intern” head football coach at La Porte.

Epple has no teaching credentials but serves as the school resource office through the La Porte County Sheriff Office at La Porte High School.

  3. Just talked to MC AD Craig Shaman and athletic secretary Deanna Strlinski at the La Porte Michigan City girls - boys double header heritage night game.  They have confirmed to me that Roy Richards will become the new Portage Indiana head coach.

Just congratulated Roy.  He said Portage will be his last stop then him and Vera will retire in 5 years.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Russ Radtke actually coached a game at Portage. To my recollection, he accepted the job, but then it fell apart and he went to Knox.

He was hired, stated to the region sports network "We are in it for the long haul." and left days later.  What a bunch of BS that was.

I have a feeling he's joking considering Buck is his son.

That is right and don’t believe anything else your hear or read,  Coach Mason left Michigan City so he can hand the program over to Buck because Buck and coach Mason love each other to all ends of the earth and has told myself and the members of the media on several occasions that Buck is the greatest running back that he has ever coach and ever will coach.  Buck is going to be enshrined into the Michigan City football Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 2027 because they are making him wait 10 years after he graduates where he will joint the likes of Abe Gibron, Tom Nowatske, Tony Cline, Andy Gill, Donnie Thomas, Dave Parry, John Parry, Dick Tomey, Vic Overman, Ron Lemon and Warren Foster.  We are also going to establish a mom’s division of the Michigan City Hall of Fame and Alpha mom’s Nikki, Marquita, Rae Londa and Lisa will be the inaugural members and the don’t have to wait because all the mom’s have all been graduated from high school much longer than 10 years ago.

Michigan City is an infinitely better job than Portage. I'm sure they'll be a lot of interest in that job. Mason resigning at MC hurts Portage's search even more than it has already been blundered.

When Mason was hired in 2015 AD Craig Shaman told the Jim Peters at the La Porte county herald dispatch that there were 40 applicants for the position.  Every time MC is searching for a new coach they have been very transparent through the entire process.

  8. JoJo was MVP at FBU all America national combine.  He has been a beast since the second grade.  He was my neighbor boy growing up as a grade schooler before moving to Indy.  He transferred from Warren Central to NorthWood.

NLC and 4A better be put on notice.
