    Wabash River Conference Week 5

Yes really, that is actually the most intriguing thing about Attica football right now. It would sure put the WRC in a bad way if they can’t field a team.

    Wabash River Conference Week 5

How many more years left for Attica football? 1 or zero?

I don’t think the WRC AD’s have any interest in expanding or adding any other teams.

    Wabash River Conference Week 4

Synopsis after week 4: PH must be for real (by WRC standards). I’ve got to believe that NC would mop the field with all WRC teams. Wolves appear to be a scoring machine. FC may be the best all around team (offense and defense). NV is still in the conversation, but I am surprised by the lopsided loss. SV—I’m calling them wanna-be’s. Attica—obviously a weak schedule to start. Seeger—May have won their only WRC game RP—there’s always baseball season.

Attica hasn’t given up a single point yet...how can they not be in the discussion?

    Wabash River Conference Week 4

NV and FC are on top of what??
  7. I will bet you anything that even “uncompetitive” programs such as these see their home football gates being greater than ANY other sport besides possibly boys’ basketball. Why would they contract if they have enuf kids to play??

    WRC Week 3

Will Attica’s defense finally be broken next week vs the Wolves? Was the NV-Covington game simply just a normal “closer than expected” game between these two or something else? Is SV really any good or is it a total facade? How good of a win was FC’s win at Eastern Hancock? Still more questions than answers I think!
  9. NP will lose by 25 +....still a red headed step child in that conference.

    WRC Week 3

I’m not following? The only scenarios I see are: 1) he wanted to get back into coaching and wanted the challenge of building a program from scratch (highly likely and my best guess) 2). As stated above, PH threw a ton of money at him that he couldn’t refuse (unlikely) 3). He wanted out of being AD and wanted out of FC for some reason (possible) 4). FC wanted him out for some reason (unlikely) 5). He wanted access to 10 days of Covered Bridge Festival food and yard sales (unlikely l, but conceiveale!) Those are all I can come up with. Which one is it?

    WRC Week 3

How did Parke Heritage pull this off and get a guy like Coach Moore?

    WRC Week 3

By my count: TR - 116 plus 58 pts vs Martin Co Home School Rox - 135 So, 251 points in 20 games. Yes, 103 points in 2 games is definitely a major improvement!

    Wabash River Conference Week 2

The prediction on Harrell’s site has PH winning by 10 Friday?

    Wabash River Conference Week 2

Did anyone see this coming? Both teams were abysmal last season.

I heard FC’s field is unplayable?

    The Wolves are coming.....
  17. So....when will Linton become a “solely Linton team” in basketball, baseball, or you name it? That’s a pretty rich statement to make!
  18. I’m curious to see how this pans out for them given what occurred in a girls’ basketball game involving them a few weeks ago.
  19. All good on paper, but reality is a different view. Where do all of these “observers” come from and who is “paying” them to observe? Officials, just like coaches, come in all different sizes and shapes. Not every HS football official is qualified to be a tournament official. And not all HS officials are qualified to work tournament rounds past a sectional. I agree that age and experience plays way too big of a factor in terms of advancement, but I would also argue that experience and age also make for “usually” a better officiated game. I honestly think the problem with the officials’ shortage is comparable to the shortage of “qualified” head coaches in the state. The age that we live in is an instant gratification era. People want to get to the top right away, without ever “earning their stripes” coming up through. I think a lot of young officials think they should move up quickly, work sectional final games and above within 2-3 years of officiating, and expect greatness without ever earning it. I have all the respect in the world for officials and what they do...just my 2 cents!

    Sectional 47

I’d say the round 2 games are pretty self-explanatory!
  21. The qualification system has some merit in terms of putting quality teams/matchups on the field, however it would never go through due to the financial structure of the IHSAA sectional round. The sectional round is the only round of the IHSAA tournament series where $$ go back to the participating schools. No way half of the IHSAA membership would go along with being left out of that piece of pie.
  22. It appears big brother let out a season’s worth of frustration tonight. This score is somewhat surprising?
  23. I get the sentiment of the story with TR being so small and historically not real strong in football, but wouldn’t it have been a better story if they included Rockville also since this is the end for them as a football team and school as well?
  24. The IHSAA didn’t impose the termination of the coach, Tindley did that and put it in their report to the IHSAA. In return, the IHSAA put what they put in the minutes because they obviously felt that was a justifiable action. You can read through alot of those IHSAA penalty reports past and present and the IHSAA will make statements like that when a school suspends or terminates a coach for committing a harsh enough IHSAA violation. The IHSAA cannot fire coaches. They can suspend them, but they cannot terminate them.
