  1. I think the HCC would make more sense for Columbus North. They have had successful regular seasons the last 3 years (8-2, 9-2, 9-2) but have gotten beat by Center Grove each of the last three years. Center Grove is definitely a top tier MIC school, but CN's history suggests that they would not be able to compete week in and week out in the MIC. That being said, if CN could get some of the CE kids, then I think you would have a great argument for CN to join the MIC
  2. 4. I would love to see Snider/Dwenger vs a MIC team or Cathedral. I think it would be great for the Ft. Wayne area and MIC schools. 7. I was speaking with a co-worker (Graduated from Portage) and he claimed that most of the great coaching talent is going to Chicago to teach and coach for the money. Not sure if that's true, but I was hoping you could shed some light on that for me. 8. Couldn't agree more! 9. Waste of time to add Columbus North, but Avon and possibly Cathedral would be interesting. 10. Is small college his goal? Or will he try to go to a division one program as a coordinator? Or is he waiting for the right MIC job to open up--Center Grove is one that comes to mind 11. Many young coaches are leaving the profession for money and an increase in parent involvement/complaints. But some young coaches are waiting for the right opportunity to open up where they can win right away. There is some good young coaching talent in Indiana, but those guys are just waiting for certain jobs to open up.
  3. 1A - North Vermillion/Parke Heritage 2A - Pioneer/Southridge 3A - West Lafayette/Tri-West 4A - Evansville Reitz/East Central 5A - New Pal/Snider 6A - Ben Davis/Center Grove/Carmel/Warren Central
  4. WEBO seems to be returning quite a bit. Could they be better next year than they were this year?
  5. Let's really get crazy.... Is it possible to have an All-MIC South? Would definitely be a shake up at the State Championship game for all those who are tired of watching an All MIC state championship game Sectional 1: Crown Point, Lake Central, Merrillville, Portage Sectional 2: Chesterton, Penn, Valparaiso, Warsaw Sectional 3: FW Carroll, Fishers, Hamilton Southeastern, Homestead Sectional 4:Zionsville, Lafayette Jefferson, Noblesville, Westfield Sectional 5: Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, North Central, Carmel Sectional 6: Avon, Brownsburg, Pike, Ben Davis Sectional 7: Arsenal Tech, Warren Central, Perry Meridian, Southport Sectional 8: Center Grove, Columbus East, Columbus North, Franklin Central
  6. I think Danville will get back on track for the 2019 season. A question mark for them will be the QB position and who replaces Slaton. Tri-West will build off of last year and be improved with a lot of guys returning offensively. Not sure how many players WEBO will lose, but they are always well coached and they will compete without a doubt. Especially with Wright still at QB. Crawfordsville and Frankfort will struggle again this year, but hopefully their play will improve and they will get more kids involved in the programs. How will Lebanon be next year?
