The 3A sectional in the Evansville area would be deep. 5 of the 8 schools have been to state in the last 10 years.  Those 5 schools combined have been to state 10 times in the last 10 years and won 5 championships.

If you look online for the drive time it will tell you 2 hours and 42 minutes. For a distance of 169 miles. That is traveling the speed limit on I64 and I69 of 70 MPH for much of the trip. School buses are not allowed by law to travel at 70 MPH. It will be a 3 hour trip for the buses.

The rule was changed in June. It has been published in the by laws since June. It was first brought up in the May IHSAA meeting and approved in June. In may there was a story in the Indy Star by Kyle Neddenriep.  Is it a lack of being transparent or is it you are just not paying attention?

You are right. The score was 37-7. I was watching the IHSAATV broadcast and they showed the score as 36-7 however that was the score before the last extra point attempt which was blocked somewhat but still got over the crossbar to make it 37-7.

Southmont was able to cross the 50 yard line for the 2nd time tonight. The then went for it on 4th down at about the NP 30 yard line. North Posey the marched down the field to score again.

Same kid runs it in again this time from around the 10 or 11 yard line. Illegal motion calls this one back. North Posey settles for a field goal to go up 17-7

North Posey looked to be in control. They were up 14-0 when Southmont finally put together a drive that crossed into North Posey territory and scored with around 10 seconds left in the first half.

I have coached other sports. Some of my best coaching results have been with very untalented teams. If you have talent you can rack up wins while doing a poor job of coaching. To win or even be competitive when you have a team low in numbers and talent overall takes some real coaching.
