Looking to get a feel of what the new NSC will be like in its first year back.  With Knox and Tippy Valley's huge seasons last year, I think they will be primed as favorites to win the conference.  I wonder how much both Knox and Valley return?  With Glenn and Jimtown looking for new head coaches, it will be a big hire at both schools.  Jimtown's ex-head coach Stoner, leaving for Fairfield seems almost like a step backward, wondering if he had ties to Fairfield.

  2. What a way to start a new conference, two teams looking for new coaches at John Glenn and Jimtown.  Is Stoner's move to Fairfield a bit surprising?  I do not know any background info on him, is he from Fairfield or have any ties to the school?  Glenn, not sure if they will fill their position internally or not?  What does TV and Knox have coming back after having great seasons a year ago?

Chatard has two kids that start both ways but multiple that get snaps on both sides depending on the situation. I think the 137 includes the freshman team. They started with 52 freshman and ended with 48. An absurd number of kids in a class of less than 200 (about half being boys). That’s how you know the entire school has a football culture and not just the football team. That football culture is a huge source of pride and the school identity. Everyone participates in Friday nights: Students, faculty, parents, alumni, people who just live in the neighborhood. That culture and football champion identity is why so many of the CYO kids choose to go there.

This is a big advantage, especially if those players are OL/DL....see it in every class and it can make a difference between winning and losing games.

Don't know if WLFI Friday Night Frenzy was on site for the end of LCC game or if the MaxPreps highlights will have it, but hit of the night in the LCC/LaVille game comes courtesy of LCC punter Ray Clayton.  In waning moments of the game, Clayton punts a ball that goes stright up into in the air and maybe 10-15 yards past LOS.  Ball hits the ground and rolls back toward LOS eventually getting back to LOS in what appears like it's going to be a net zero punt.  LaVille player sees an opportunity to grab the ball and perhaps run it back for a last-minute LaVille score with just the punter between him and the TD.  Clayton squares up and absolutely drops the kid with a decleater which resulted in an injury time out.  Probably a metaphor for LCC defensive importance tonight.

It was a heads up play by the LaVille player, but yeah he did get rocked.  CC’s defense was just so fast.   LV was able to establish the run early but after the first 3-4 possessions of the game, it felt LV wasn’t going to score.

    LaVille 26, Andrean 23 - 1:30 left

Another long KO return, sets up a quick score to keep the game close. An onside kick is on its way!!

LaVille recovers onside kick and should be able to knee it out.
