Dwenger's issues are a bit more complicated than running out of running backs. Kokomo already beat Leo earlier this season, so I can't imagine the Lions overlooking any of the forementioned teams.

    Way deeper then that.

When Trent went down in the Snider game they lost the best runner and Linebacker.

Dwenger is down to Gus, 5'5" running back. He is fast but he has to get in the open field first. Dwenger will be foced to rely on passing.

    Dwenger will lose this game.

Heart won the Wayne game and the DeKalb game. Leo is way better than both.

I hope North Side rights the ship, they have a great fan base. There's talk of mega school powerhouse programs with great football teams and the fans barely show up. North Side is a small school of 1600 and they'll pack the house if you put a good product out there for them to see.

1600? Tell me again how they are in the small school division of the SAC?

I know that I am old, but I have yet to find a way to watch Dwenger Home games. If it's not on Summit City Sports, I haven't seen it.

    You will have to subscribe

You can see away games too.

However in tournament it may be a pay per view from ISHAA.

give it a shot if still can't get it In Box me on here.

  4. I said several months ago that splitting the SAC into two division was not a good idea, also stated Luers has the easiest route to the title.  This system needs tweaked, or the SAC needs to split into two new conferences.

    Dwenger lost that game.

Down the ball, kick the field goal. Three turnovers killed them.

Drop Luers to small conference and eliminate Blackhawk and Busco.

Eliminate Blackhawk because it could be years before they are competitive.

Eliminate Busco since Woodlan and Heritage are closer to Fort Wayne. Splitting hairs on that one.

Luers doesn't need to be in the big division. They are 4-34 historically against Snider. If the knights want to continue rumbling with the big guys, they can schedule whoever they want for their three out of division games.

Seven in each division allows three out of division games. Can do crossover (Dwenger vs Luers) or out of conference. With fourteen teams in the SAC, I think we can crown two champions. It's just not a level playing field otherwise. There's a 70% chance that Snider, Carroll, or Homestead win the SAC. Dwenger gets a 20% chance. A champion from any of the other schools sits at 10%. Two champions is fair.

    I like your thinking.

Long time lurker here and apologize if it's been previously discussed.......

From my understanding the SAC champ is the team with the best conference regardless of which division they play in, so what's the point of having the two separate divisions?

Yep it's pretty dumb,  give it another 3 years and maybe they will form two new conferences.

Dwenger is the 3rd smallest school and plays in the big division.

    Just my opinion.

Carroll on the downside after this year? You do realize their QB is back next year, right? 3 year starter at that point, D1 talent. Their feeder schools have a constant flow of talent. Very doubtful

Snider had 1 down year out of how many, 15?

Dwenger, even with Sullivan, would not be a contender. That talent pool is thin right now and has been for a few years

The Spartan QB and offense that was shutout by Noblesville 42-0, that gave Dwenger fits? Uh, ok….Let’s see what the Spartans do against Snider and Carroll before telling me they are dangerous

Didn't say he was dangerous,  Noblesville was his first or second game. Snider had 2 or 3 years down or should we say not Snider like starting in 2019. Yep if Jimmy was at Dwenger he would be running for his life. Yes Carroll will be on a down slide. Takes more than a D1 QB to dominate.

    Remember Jeff Becker?

Saying it now, the gap in the SAC after Snider and Carroll will continue to widen over the next several years. It is pretty big now, it will only get bigger. People need to quit holding out hope that Dwenger, Luers, North Side, or Homestead will put themselves back in the picture soon.

I think Homestead will be back in the picture.  They are mostly Sophomores. That QB gave Dwenger fits.

Remember also Sullivan would be at BD if his dad was still Dwenger's DB coach.

I believe Carroll will be on the downside after this year.

Just two years ago Snider was not a contender but they are back. I believe teams reload but every now and than they cycle down for a few years.
