K/P Bryce Taylor of Bloomington South has committed to IU. His junior season was cut short by a broken collarbone.

Purdue got a 3-star Tight End from Ohio yesterday.  That's where the rating of recruits perplexes me.  Ohio, along with California, Florida (and most southern states), Pennsylvania, and Texas have some pretty good football programs.  That being said, does a 3-star by Ohio's standards equate to a higher ranking elsewhere?  Have a great day and stay hydrated--gonna be a hot one today!

New Palestine DL Michael Thacker has committed to Ball State, where he will play alongside his brother, Isaiah.

Michael also had offers from Tennessee and West Virginia.

Nice to see Ball State able to get kids that TN & WV are after, sure his brother being there helped.

Michael's an absolute gem of a person from a great family, and he's an incredibly good DL. I think being close to home was a real drawing card, especially with Isaiah already there.

@psaboy

Great for this young man, not disparaging his choice for Toledo, but his talent was b10- level in my opinion

Oh the stories I could tell about his recruitment then (and more recently) and recruiting in general. Toledo ended up being the right move and he has been very happy there.

Sure was...Kobe is an outstanding baseball player as well.

Wisconsin was his 5th Big 10 offer.  Also has one from Louisville as well.  His brother Tyler is a QB for Indiana.
