DaveMosbey
Southridge 6-0 at Heritage Hills 6-0 This is the 50th time Heritage Hills and Southridge have met on the gridiron and the Patriots lead the series 35-14. Southridge is one of only 3 teams that was on the Patriot football schedule in their inaugural season in 1972 that the Patriots have played at least once every season since. Both teams come into this game 4-0 in conference play. The Patriots are averaging 43.7 ppg and giving up 6.7 ppg and the Raiders are averaging 37.5 ppg and giving up 13.0 ppg. 1972 HH 29 Southridge 8 1973 HH 10 Southridge 0 1974 Southridge 38 HH 0 1975 Southridge 9 HH 7 1976 Southridge 19 HH 13 1977 HH 29 Southridge 8 1978 Southridge 15 HH 11 1979 HH 36 Southridge 14 1980 HH 34 Southridge 2 1981 Southridge 7 HH 6 1982 HH 18 Southridge 13 1983 Record HH 13 Southridge 7 1984 Southridge 27 HH 14 1985 Southridge 45 HH 14 1986 HH 29 Southridge 0 1987 HH 40 Southridge 13 1988 HH 49 Southridge 22 1989 Southridge 12 HH 7 1990 HH 26 Southridge 6 1990 Sectional HH 27 Southridge 20 1991 HH 20 Southridge 0 1992 Record HH 39 Southridge 12 1993 HH 38 Southridge 0 1994 HH 42 Southridge 6 1995 HH 51 Southridge 6 1996 Record HH 36 Southridge 12 1997 HH 46 Southridge 0 1998 Southridge 21 HH 20(OT) 1999 HH 31 Southridge 0 2000 HH 42 Southridge 6 2001 HH 30 Southridge 0 2002 Heritage Hills 42 Southridge 0 2003 Heritage Hills 43 Southridge 8 2004 Heritage Hills 48 Southridge 28 2005 Heritage Hills 33 Southridge 0 2006 Heritage Hills 26 Southridge 0 2007 Heritage Hills 35 Southridge 13 2008 Southridge 26 Heritage Hills 7 2009 Heritage Hills 21 Southridge 14 2010 Heritage Hills 15 Southridge 12 2011 Heritage Hills 21 Southridge 0 2012 Heritage Hills 34 Southridge 0 2013 Southridge 34 Heritage Hills 8 2014 H Hills 33 Southridge 7 2015 H Hills 17 Southridge 7 2016 Southridge 29 Heritage Hills 17 2016 Sectional Southridge 37 Heritage Hills 34 ( 2 overtimes ) 2017 Southridge 17 Heritage Hills 7 2018 Heritage Hills 24 Southridge

This is the 48th season of Patriot football since we have never played North Posey in the playoffs we have played them 48 times, We have played South Spencer once in playoffs so we will play them for the 49th time in week 9 and played Southridge twice in playoffs so the answer is Southridge. DaveMosbey
BTW: The Raiders have also beaten us more then any other opponent with the 14 wins. Other teams that have double figure wins against us are South Spencer 12, Jasper 11, North Posey 11, Gibson Southern 11 and Evansville Memorial 11. Memorial did it in just 17 meetings. oldtimeqb
They have matched up with Pike Central in the 3A playoffs several times haven’t they? (Most notably 1986) I don’t know when that series started though. I just seem to remember HH, GS, PC, NP, Princeton, and Southridge all consolidating around the same era in the early 70’s. Yeah I missed Pike Central we have played them 48 times including 3 time in sectionals. Pike and Gibson first season was 1974 we played Petersburgh , Fort Branch and Haubstadt in 1972 and 1973. Also we had one season the Pike game was canceled and not made up because the Charger head coach committed suicide. South Spencer and I believe North Posey both consolidated before Heritage Hills and Pike Central and Gibson Southern after Heritage Hills. Heritage Hills didn't open until the midway point of the 1972-1973 school year and the Heritage Hills home games were played at Dale High School under the Heritage Hills name in 1972. They even had co-Homecoming Queens in 1972 a North-South with one from Chrisney and one from Dale. Here is our first season. I didn't know about the 2 homecoming queens until this past season Jon was wanting to develop a player database for the upcoming HH Hall of fame plaza and needed list of ex-players so I went to library and was taking pictures of old football team pictures in the old yearbooks and in the 1973 book saw the homecoming picture. Rike Winchell
Dave, I played on the first HH team in 72. If I can find the yearbook I can send you a lot of photos I know were in it. Tnanks Rike Winchell
Bcaster
You’re right as usual Dave. NP was the 1st of the PAC to consolidate, in 1960. SS was next in 65. Tecumseh in 68. HH & SR in 72. And GS & PC in 74. (info courtesy of almanac sports.com. Dan’s site is a great reference for the history Indiana h.s. football.) 1

RoadRunner
Really excited to see this game. IMO Southridge hasn't really been tested since the first two weeks of the year! Also excited to see what we can do when we're forced to play the full 4 quarters (hopefully). GS Titan 78
Heritage Hills wins and keeps rolling. If they play like last Friday against GS I think they go to Lucas Oil. Everyone has a bad game but they made GS look like a mediocre team. On a side note. Is it true Pike Central is down to under 22 players and will be forfeiting games? Has anyone heard this?
sr1
Tecumseh played Pike Central in week two. They only had 26 players listed on their roster at that time. With a few injuries or kids leaving the team they could be down to under 22 players. 9 of those players are freshmen.

I have heard that last week they only dressed like 18 kids, with several of those being freshman. It would be wise, IMO, for them to forfeit some game especially if they have teams like GS & SR left. Maybe those teams could find an opponent to play.

GS Titan 78
I would rather us play Jasper. I don’t think think it’s happening. There would surely be something out already. I have no idea if it’s ever happened before. It was a different situation but Wood did the entire year.

sr1
It would only happen if Pike Central is down to so few players that they have to forfeit the game Friday. They it would free up Gibson Southern to look for another game.

hhpatriot04
What offense is Southridge running this year? I believe the familiarity of the programs at all levels puts the over/under around 49.5 points which is quite high given their histories. I don't if you would call it a wing T maybe, maybe not., but its a lot of misdirection. I felt both SR and HH had similar offenses against us. If I were to compare both teams HH seemed like the better team. They came off the line harder and stayed on their blocks a bit better than SR, but SR threw the ball more than HH did. HHPatriot5757
IMO Heritage Hills rolls in this one. All the credit so far goes to the boys up front. Big Mark Doyle and company are aggressive, physical, and nasty at the point of attack. I’m looking for another game of 400 plus rushing yards for the boys in blue. Nice to see the wishbone back in its former glory, 42-21 Patriots, in a game that never feels close.
