Credit to Dave Mosbey for the pulling the following Sectional 32 history of tournament success over the years.

Sectional 32 Post season football tradition.
and when you consider most of these schools have spent most of their time  either in the same 2A or same 3A sectional makes it even more impressive.

Evansville Mater Dei -  24 sectionals, 15 regional, 7 semi state, 2 state titles

Evansville Memorial - 17 sectionals, 11 Regional, 5 Semi State, 2 State titles

Heritage Hills - 14 sectionals, 11 regional, 4 semi state, 1 state title

Southridge - 11 sectionals, 7 regionals, 4 semi state, 1 state title

Gibson Southern - 5 sectional, 5 regional, 1 semi state, 1 state title

Vincennes Lincoln - 7 sectionals, 1 regional

Mount Vernon (Posey) - 2 sectionals

Princeton - 1 sectional

If my math is correct that's 7 State titles, 21 Semi State, 50 Regional and 81 sectionals combined.
5 of 8 have won state
6 of 8 have won a regional
8 of 8 have won a sectional

Says the guy who creates a new topic after posting on the initial post.  He just wants to be sure we all see who’s at the top now.   😀

I would like to know how these numbers break down by classes, 2a - 4a.

Mater Dei was in 3A 1995-1996 and 2003-2006, winning 1 Sectional and 1 Regional (2006). All the rest were 2A.
Memorial was in 4A 2019-2023, winning 4 Sectionals, 2 Regionals, 1 Semi-State and 1 State title (2019). All the rest were 3A.

HH at North Posey and GS at Southridge this week will help shed a little more light on things. Of course the big one is next week in Lincoln City.

NP is still a question mark for me in how good they are.....is Southridge better now that they have Noah Wright back?  I'd think he would take them up a tick.

Curious where you got those projections.  CalPreps (my standard go-to projections) has been shut down by MaxPreps/CBS Sports.

The only Massey ratings I could find combined Reitz and Reitz Memorial.  You would think someone would be smart enough to know the same team couldn't play Castle at Home and @ Bosse on the same day.

For what it's worth, Reitz Memorial has a 60% chance to beat Reitz Memorial this week.

So the IHSAA draw is a week from this Sunday. Whoever comes out of S32 will have the host-site tie breakers in their favor for both Regional and Semi-State. Although the ping pong balls determine the bracket, anyone have any thoughts on what the seeds would be with 2/3 of the regular season over? Using a combo of Sagarin & W/L, right now I would say:

#1 Heritage Hills

#2 Memorial

#3 Mater Dei

#4 Gibson Southern

#5 Southridge

#6 Lincoln

#7 Mt. Vernon

#8  Princeton

If Memorial wins out I don’t see how they wouldn’t be the 1 seed.
The real question is will football ever seed the top 2 teams ?

I would agree with you. Winning the last 3 would push Memorial to #1. Their SOS will increase by the end of the regular season, while HH's will likely drop someone given their opponents. HH (and GS for that matter) should be well-rested by Sectionals.

Who does Memorial end with in the last 3?

Nevermind.  Yes, back loaded schedule.

Interestingly enough, we finish with our last 2 games on natural grass - at Vincennes Lincoln and at Bosse Field against Castle. We haven't played back to back games on real grass since 2019 when we played at Castle and then at Boonville.
