I'll take Lincoln and the points and the favorites to all cover in the other four games.

If Memorial gives Reitz a second loss, Reitz gives MD a second loss, Castle and Memorial win out…

does that make the Castle and Memorial game the winner take all conference championship?

No. In that scenario, the best Castle could do is a share of the SIAC title. The SIAC doesn't look at H2H, just W/L. That game at Bosse Field is going to be pretty incredible.

Hypothetically final records with your assumptions:

Memorial 9-0

Castle 8-1

Mater Dei 7-2

Reitz 7-2

or

Memorial 8-1

Castle 8-1

Mater Dei 7-2

Reitz 7-2

So if both were 8-1 they would tie?   Why would SIAC not have head to head as a tiebreaker?   Weird

That is the way I understand it.

In 2017, Memorial, Reitz and Central all shared the SIAC title in a 3-way tie at 6-1. I believe Reitz and Central shared in 2016 too and of course, Memorial/Central in 2019. I think there was propositions of implementing tiebreakers for divisions + championship game a couple of years ago.

Bosse @ Mater Dei. I'll take MD 48-12, with Bosse's scores to come after the MD call off the dogs, uh.. cats, whatever..

Central @ Harrison. Harrison finally gets off the schneid. Warriors 29-13.

North @ Vincennes. North should win this, but Lincoln is tough at home on that natural grass. I'll take the Alices 24-17 in an upset.

Jasper @ Castle. I expect Castle to have some let-down after pummeling Reitz. Jasper plays its second of three straight on the road. Knights win 24-10 in a game that is a little closer than what it should be.

Reitz @ Memorial. The SIAC game of the week. Memorial homecoming at Enlow. Reitz hasn't been beaten like that in quite a while, so it will be interesting to see how they bounce back mentally while still facing some injury adversity. Memorial O has been humming since the North game, but that includes 3 games against the bottom of the SIAC. Now the Tigers have a tough 3 game stretch. Tigers' D secondary probably facing its biggest challenge of the season to this point. I expect it to be close early, then the Tigers will pull away 35-14.

North at Vincennes - I don't think North will be able to score much in this one and Vincennes has improved their offense recently. I will take the Alices by two scores.

Central at Harrison - The Warriors have shown flashes at times this season. The Bears have really struggled. I will take the Warriors by three scores.

Jasper at Castle - This one could be a good battle and high scoring. However, the Knights have figured out some stuff on offense and defense. They look to be a true contender in 5A. I will take the Knights by three scores.

Bosse at Mater Dei - This one will be over early and quick. Bosse may score a few times late against the reserves. I will take the Wildcats in a running clock.

GAME OF THE WEEK:

Reitz at Memorial - Big time game and should be a big time crowd, especially with the weather being nice. Knowing that Reitz is dealing with some key injuries, a lot of people thought there was a chance they would lose to Castle, Memorial, and maybe even MD. After the Saturday games, I think that might be what happens. It does sound like Reitz has cleaned up the dumb penalties but they still struggle with turnovers and have been hit hard by the injury bug. They should focus on getting healthy by sectionals and making a playoff run. The Tigers however are playing very well and are my 1A to Heritage Hills 1B for the 3A title favorite. The Tigers will be celebrating on their homecoming night after they win by three scores.

No, Jasper does not.  No, Reitz does not.

After last week's performances, I am inclined to believe Jasper hangs closer with Castle than Reitz does Memorial.

Big game tonight with a Reitz coming into Enlow. Massive SIAC implications with Reitz-Memorial game, as there is a chance of a 4-way tie for 1st place.

Homecoming & feeder night. Should be a big crowd.

Picks:

Bosse at Mater Dei - Mater Dei is coming off a defensive slugfest with North and eyeing a 6-1 record. Bosse may have found their QB for a while. However, give me the Wildcats in a running clock.

Jasper at Castle- Castle is coming off a massive win against Reitz and opening up the SIAC race a bit more. The Knights took control of the game and did not look back as they blew out the Panthers and almost forced a running clock. Jasper is coming off a victory against Central and is hoping to be back above .500. But, give me the Knights by 4 scores in this one.

North at Lincoln- North was just a few points away from upsetting Mater Dei last week and Lincoln was coming off a hard fought victory over Harrison. Both teams have different implications tonight as Lincoln is trying to get above .500 and North avoiding a losing regular season. I think I will take the Alices by 2 scores in this matchup.

Central at Harrison- Central is trying to find their way back in the win column after beating Bosse a few weeks. Harrison is trying to enter the win column and avoid dropping to 0-8. Harrison definitely has some athletes, same with Central. I’ll take the Warriors by 10 in this matchup.

Game of the Week

Reitz at Memorial- The Panthers are coming off a tough loss to Castle and gave the Panthers their first lost since 2021. However, the Panthers did return their QB back from injury, although he may still be banged up. Memorial is coming off victory over Bosse and rested their starters after 1.25 quarters of playing. But Memorial looked good and had control over that game. Statistically, Reitz and Memorial are about the same by the margins and is in the Top 2 for total Offense and Defense. Although Reitz has one of the better run games in the SIAC, Memorial does have a strong dynamic offense. I’ll be intrigued by the defenses tonight, as both teams have some really good players. Reitz is dealing with injuries, but this should be a good one tonight, as implications are on the line. I think the Tigers will pull away in the 2H and win by 2 scores.

Man…Brunson was right to throw a fit about that call.  No way that was a completion.

Didn’t see it, was it that bad?

The ball was a foot or more away from the receiver right as he hit the ground.  It was a terrible call.
