NIC Week # 8

Recommended Posts

Really looking forward to the Marian - Mishawaka matchup.  The Knights have struggled to stop the Cavemen offense for years.  The Marian defense this year has great stats, but they really haven't faced a good offense yet.  It will be a very tough test that will tell us a lot about how good the Knights can be come postseason.

Jimtown over Bremen-although Bremen appears to be getting better

Penn over Central-  I'd add this game to the best game of the week list.

Glenn over Clay - Glenn hung tough with a good LaVille team.

Mishawaka over Marian- I was impressed with Mishawaka last week against Saint Joseph

New Prairie over Riley- It appear Riley is going backward.

Adams over Washington for the first W of the season.  Adams plays a much tougher schedule

Saint Joseph over CMA- also first W for the Indians.  CMA makes to many mistakes

 Jimtown wins easy 35-7

Central- predicted last weeks Penn score going to say Central 17-13

Glenn 40-0

Marians run defense is stout and their passing game will prove to be too much. 28-14

NP big. Riley couldn't stop Washington. 55-0

Adams.....Iras arm is too strong and Washington allowed Clay to burn them twice for passing TDs. Adams 30 Wash 24. Could be wrong

Toss up between St. Joe and CMA. Could be the battle of the toilet bowl next week between Adams and St Joe if the both lose Friday.

Bremen at Jimtown Bremen is young and Jimtown is at home.  Jimmies win.
Central at Penn Penn is average this season and Central should win but   Central needs to play mistake free football to win this.  Not sure they can.  Penn wins at home
Glenn at Clay Glenn is improving and should win this game.  Clay will stay close.
Mishawaka at Marian, Game of the week.  Otolski Field doesn't like rain and it's raining.  It's gonna be sloppy.  Mishawaka in a tight one.
New Prairie at Riley, NP wins big.  Not sure what happened to Riley.  They looked promising early in the season.
Adams at Washington, Washington wins.
St. Joseph at Culver Academy, My heart says St Joe finally gets a win.

Central - Penn and Mishawak - Marian the best games of the weekend

I’ll take Bremen over the Jimmies.

I think “penn” on the sides of the helmets will be to much of a mental barrier for central to overcome. Penn in a close one

Glenn wins

should be a good one in Mishawaka. I’ll take the cavemen due to their style and the weather. Wouldn’t be surprise to see them lose the ball a few times and Marian comes out on top though.

NP will handle Riley

my gut says Washington beats big brother tonight.

This could be the night the Indians get a W. Honestly they are in discussion for best 0-7 team in the state.

Sounds like both the Mishawaka vs Mish Marian and Penn vs Central were both good games.  Obviously the weather had some impact on each game, but did it play a major part in the outcomes? Weather related turnovers, guy in the open slips or anything like that?
