IF…

Reitz beats MD, Castle beats Memorial, then we have a tie for 1st with Castle and Memorial even though Castle would have the h2h.   Is this correct?

That is the way I understand it, unless there has been a change since the SIAC expanded in 2020. I know in 2019 Central beat Memorial and then lost to Mater Dei the next week. Central and Memorial were co-champs at 6-1.

It’s still a shared title no matter what, C&P said there could be a 2-way tie or 3-way tie at 8-1 depending who beats who.

I also started to question the H2H too, until I realized all sports (besides a couple due to points based) do shared titles too. For example, Girl’s Soccer had Memorial and Castle 8-1 and split it. Even though Castle beat Memorial in the regular season.

No like what sides where Memorial or Castle fans will sit at.

I believe Memorial will be on the third base side and Castle on the first base side.

Vincennes at Jasper - I will take the Wildcats by 2 scores.

Reitz at Mater Dei - I will take the Panthers by 1 score.

Bosse at Harrison - I will take the Warriors by 4 scores.

North at Central - I will take the Huskies by 3 scores.

GAME OF THE WEEK:

Castle at Memorial - I will take the Tigers by 3 scores.

Too many tiebreakers for my hypothetical scenarios. A lot of 3-way ties are making this a tad bit difficult.

Good. Let's just beat Castle by 21 and keep it simple.

Yea this is pretty much for fun, since I’ve been working on a hypothetical seeding just like the NFL does and all of my tiebreakers are broken. Like a Central/Harrison/Bosse 3-way tie. Since when the point differential is implemented after all the other tiebreakers fail. Harrison gets the tiebreaker over Central and Bosse, even though this scenario has Bosse beating Harrison.

Will it only be the baseball seats or will there be bleachers out on the field?

Last time they did it at Bosse Field, there we no bleachers on the field. And everyone sat in the baseball seats. I’m assuming they added additional seats for this game, since they extended the capacity to 6,200.

Are they really running the field from Centerfield to Home plate?  In the old days - I am old enough to remember my brother's football games at Bosse Field - I believe they ran the field from LF to RF and the bleachers were set up on top of the infield area.  However, that may have been before they added the second wall, well inside the brick outer wall.

Yep, that was when the outfield fence was the actual brick wall. Now, with the shorter fence and "box" seating down the lines there isn't room to go that direction without removing structure the Otters don't want to move. I wouldn't want to do it every year, but once a decade is pretty cool.

I remember seeing a Memorial soccer game or two there in the late 1970's in the first year of the program (when it was actually co-ed). The field ran LF to RF.

I think it’s going to be a very competitive game.  From all indications, Castle is on top of their game right now.

McCool is the best RB in the conference - at a whopping 8 ypc.  Gavin Leach is right there with Broshears as the best LB in the conference.  And Patterson is a load on the defensive line.

I’m expecting something closer to a one score game than a 3 score game.

Reitz at Mater Dei - Gotta go with the more disciplined team in this one. MD 27 - 13

Bosse at Harrison - Bosse is just not good. HHS 35-12

Lincoln at Jasper - Jasper seems to be putting some things together. Give me the JCats 24-17

North at Central - Central won't be able to stop the run. North 42-7

Castle at Memorial - Game of the Week. SIAC on the line. Throwbacks at Bosse Field. Tigers 34-14
