gindie Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 I realize this is an extremely minor infraction, if it is one. I was watching the Brownsburg-LN game last night and #8 (I believe) on LN was wearing an IU emblem towel or something around his waist. Is that technically allowed? Quote

If it were a towel, as described it’s legal. The only real restrictions on towels now are size (no smaller than 4x12 and no larger than 18x36) and any lettering can’t be inappropriate or unsportsmanlike. So if a player's name was Frank Uecker could he have "F. U." on his towel? 2 Quote

Could you imagine the optics of a grown man with a tape measure on a football field anywhere near the front of a teenage boy's towel? Lord, I apologize for that there. 2 Quote

Nor can I imagine wearing a towel that’s 3 ft. long. And no one checks them that closely. We’re busy trying to get the players to wear football pants with knee pads, rather than Bermuda shorts. 3 2 Quote

It's almost like strips that flag football wears. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Don't tune into Texas HS football playoffs. You all would have a heart attack but they do not play by NFHS rules so....... Quote
1st_and_10 Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I know we are talking HS and Uniform Violations... But can we address the mouth guards (or lack thereof) in the college game? Just make them optional like the NFL... It's a joke. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 like I said, don't tune into Texas HS ball. Quote
