I can't get over Sagarin having North Judson ranked over several 6A teams going into the state finals.

I only have two non-6A teams ranked ahead of Heritage Hills, New Pal and Chatard. Having them ranked over some HCC teams speaks volumes of their team this year. The size and speed of the bigger 6A programs is just too hard to overcome for most schools with enrollments under 2200.

still think CP is to high

I still like CP using the eye test. I agree with @Boilernation, losing big to Westfield doesn't mean they'd lose HSE, Fishers, or even Center Grove for that matter. There was nothing stopping Westfield that night. I'd argue that Westfield wanted that game more than any other game on thier schedule after getting knocked out by Crown Point the year before.

LOL, i just took a closer look at this.

BD and Pike?
Avon?
Noblesville?

You’re trolling again right?

If you did a college poll, you having a 7-5 Michigan team who has played four teams in the top 9 in your top 15?

C’mon man.

If I was trolling I'd have Homestead and Dwenger in my poll. Your poll is all inclusive, you're rewarding good records. My poll is just flat out who the best teams are if they were to square off against one another head to head. There's not 25 teams that would beat Ben Davis head to head. Take the compliment to your beloved Indy teams and call it a day.

Tough call, but I had to leave them out. They were one of my favored teams throughout the season, but barely hanging on against McCutcheon and losing to Warsaw by three scores left me with a lessor opinion of them. I can't see them beating Elkhart, whom I have at #25.

You really think Jeff would finish in the middle of the pack in the HCC? Fifth of nine teams?

Nah but they rolled Avon, something Noblesville and Zionsville weren’t able to do.

First game of the season. You said it yourself. If you plan on upsetting a team, you may want to do it in Week 1. I gave a lot of credit to Avon for the final three weeks. My poll doesn't reflect body of work through the whole season near as much as how I think teams are playing right now. Some people may think I'm nuts for having Ben Davis at #10. But if the games were being played tomorrow, that's exactly where I would have them.

It wasn't easy for me to put fourteen Indy teams in my Top 17, eighteen in my Top 23. But I'm trying to be as objective as possible. Large Indy schools have just taken this state over.

And Brownsburg only beat Avon 21-13 in the sectional.

This is not surprising to me. Considering Avon and Brownsburg are neighbors and bitter rivals, there is no love lost between these 2 schools.

Avon is baffling to me when it comes to football. There is a ton of potential and plenty of athletes in the halls at Avon.

It is almost as if Avon and Brownsburg have flip flopped. It was not that long ago that Avon was a top dog and Brownsburg was in the shadows of Avon but now they have totally switched.

very happy to see New Pal ahead of Crown Point.  For the record, I think they'd beat Cathedral and Warren too.

The captain has spoken!!!

Crown point highly overrated all season and undoubtedly would come in as the favorite in the matchup, but 100 times out of 100 I will take New Pal and whatever points some idiot wants to give me in that matchup, I think they beat them by 2 touchdowns at least.

It's the Indy Star, so not too surprised. That poll would look a little different in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazzette. At the end of they day, they're all fake news. The best polls come right here off the Gridiron. I enjoy seeing your's posted every Saturday morning.
