challenging schedule....

I don’t know. After all, we ducked Northern Illinois. 😉

Doesn't seem all that challenging to me.  Miami (FL) and A&M are preseason heroes every year and can't even make their conference championship games.  USC and Boise at home.  Arkansas is a mid-tier SEC squad.

Anything less than 11 wins with this schedule is a disappointment IMO.

Just saying a number of ranked teams.  Arkansas may be mid tier, but that place will be ready.  Didn't they beat #7 Tennessee last year?

Not saying ND won't beat them, but they will be breaking in some new players as well....including QB

I see your point, but folks looked at Notre Dame's 2024 schedule at this time last year and saw "ranked teams" in USC and Florida State and said many of the same things you are saying now.

Its a manageable schedule as we sit right now.  Now, the ORDER of games (Miami/A&M out of the gate) is interesting, especially since they are breaking in a new QB (unless they go with Angeli of course).  He'd be ready out of the gate.

Irish SHOULD BE in a similar position as they were this past season…..meaning they should make the playoff.
But who will be that one team? Seems there is always one that gets them. But in a 12 team, or any other change that adds more teams, they should be in the mix.

as we know, when these schedules are made, you hope to see good rosters of the opponent, like the Purdue / ND series that was signed, I believe was in Brohm's 2nd  year I think, maybe 3rd, but they didn't get to play when he was the Head Coach even........

Then you add the new Portal rules that re in place now, that was after many of these schedules get contracted out.    Its never really anyone's "fault" if the other team ends up taking a turn for the worse.

just happens

This schedule is so daunting, even the “chosen one” could lead the Irish to the playoffs.

Imagine being so off on a prediction...and then still coming on here and talking down to everyone...

RB Coach Deland McCullough is going to the Raiders.

I had the chance to chat with him during a recruiting visit when he was still at Miami (OH). Great coach and great man. he has one of the more interesting stories about meeting his biological father. Look it up if you get a moment.

Happy 130th birthday to the great George Gipp. Still ND’s career record holder with 8.1 yds per carry rushing.
