Bobref Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Congratulations to Noah Ehrlich, QB, Crown Point HS, the Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year. https://playeroftheyear.gatorade.com/winner/Noah-Ehrlich/40578 4 Quote
Gipper Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Going to a MAC school (Miami). Sure, that particular one usually contends for league titles and offers an excellent education, I wonder if schools such as Purdue and Kentucky offered. Quote

US31 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) I think the days of Power 5 schools recruiting 4 star HS QB's is on the way out. Unless you are a 5 star oh-my God...I think most Pow5's will prefer to see college performance in MAC/FCS/etc before they scholarship 3 and 4 star kids directly from HS. Especially with the roster limitations coming up in addition to the free for all in the portal. Edited February 3 by US31 1 Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted February 3 Posted February 3 no arguments here tough sledding for our high school players a new game but one thing that seems to be apparant, more and more HS kids are starting to see that getting on the field earlier at a lesser school by tradition could pay dividends more so than being just a guy in a room full of guys who are constantly getting recruited on or over 1 Quote
US31 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Advice to current players: Your path to the MAC/FCS might first go through NAIA or D2 Your path to Pow5 might first go through MAC/FCS Overall advice, if playing on Sunday isn't feasible due to factors outside of your control (e.g. genetics)...maybe pick a school based upon the career options your degree might be able provide you...instead of worrying about NIL. All of this aside....Miami is getting a heck of a player. 1 Quote

Jack Kiser’s a great example. He’s taking his shot at the NFL. But he is prepared for bigger and better things after his playing days are over. 2 Quote
