Nice combo of the Colts playing well and the Dolphins looking bad. Maybe it was karma with the head coach wearing knickers ready to jump on a boat and roll a few fat ones. 😆 I like McDaniels. He is entertaining. But this is his 4th season. This is about the time coaches develop a reputation. He might just be a step behind Matt LaFleur in the not meeting expectations department. But solid game all around for the Colts.

It helped dedicating the game to Jimmy Irsay too.  Lots of good football last Sunday.  Hope it carries on.

will be interesting Sunday...can Daniel Jones remain consistent.  Much tougher defense with Denver.  But the Broncos had to work hard to overcome a Titans team last week at home.  Definitely a winnable game.  Go Colts!

BTW, Tyler Warren is a beast....thank you Bears!!!!

Nice, hard fought win. A little justice to finish the game was nice.

the play calls at the end were interesting with the entire Denver D in the box.....very fortunate on the single flag at the end of the game

Yep, but it definitely was a penalty. I think the school of thought with this and a number of other plays like holding and DPI, players push the envelope and know the odds are in their favor. If it gets called at all, it MIGHT be once a game, and they think that is worth the risk. The DPIs that should have been called in the first half against the Broncos are good examples.

Oh I agree it was a penalty...but glad official didn't swallow his whistle....

This is a much better angle of the play. I did not see this actual push down during the replay on CBS. They did not show this angle of it. It is funny seeing the comments that it was not a penalty, or that the Colts did the exact same thing on a Denver missed FG. This angle shows it is way too obvious to not call.

It’s early, but at this point certainly agree….

Couldn’t have anything to do with the QB play or the fact that Loveland is TE #2 in Chicago…

the Daniel Jones story is yet another point of evidence that folks who pay attention to NFL play understands that much much goes into QB having success in the league, sometimes it just takes TIME, some organizations understand this, PACKERS for instance, its a very hard position to play and be successful espeically in day 1 year 1, very special those who do.

Mahomes sat a full year behind Alex Smith

Love in Green Bay

How good is CJ Stroud, rookie year everyone annointed him.....last year... he is terrible....hmmmmmm

My point is the book is very much still out on Richardson.......

Danny Dimes is an interesting case study.  Prior to the Colts, his lifetime stats mirror Trevor Lawrence.  But Jones got peppered, perhaps by a much bigger and more aggressive media.

Systems have a huge impact...Jones now has a line, has receiver options, along with a running game.  Can't underestimate Steichen's influence on the offense.  So far, Jones is flourishing.  (obviously he will have some bad days)

Jones and AR play in the exact system...one with experience is playing well....one has historically struggled with reads and accuracy.  Will that change?  Maybe?  Maybe not.  I agree there is still an open book for AR.  But not as open as it was a couple years ago.

NY MEDIA who had never played the game at the highest level mind you..........

An organization that didn't build well around him with OL, you see that with Barkley and his output vs his output with Giants

So much more always goes into it, but that doesn't create $$$$$$$$. for those who leach of professional athletes for their income

I was a fan of Jones in college, and before anyone knew the name of Jordan Love, I felt like Jones would be a great fit for the offense Green Bay has. He has Rodgers' ability to move around the pocket and Favre level arm strength when throwing. I am happy for him to see him doing well to start here and think the confidence he is gaining will only make him better.

Such an incredibly hard position to play at the highest level along with the unreasonable expectations put on these players so early as well.   So many are so quick to annoit QBs busts or chosen ones....... takes so much to be successful at that position and many of those items have zero to do with QB themselves

Fair comment....I remember years ago watching David Carr QB the Texans against the Colts in the RCA Dome.  That poor guy was given the reins immediatly on a poor team and he would just get pummeled.  Always wondered what if he would have landed on a really good team in a system where he could  have developed...would his outcome been different?

Then I used to think of Tom Brady....what if he had been drafted by the Texans vs the Pats??

Or if TB12 had an incredibly POOR OL, which he NEVER had, kudos to PATS for that, hence why with great OL,  Great D and Special Teams, a guy as Cerebral and driven like TB12 was/is, you see the excellence even without top tier WRs, (Minus Randy Moss years, that was a cheat code)

At least the NFL got smart and tier'd the slot money for draft picks ...... ***cough JaMarcus Russell, Sam Bradford *** Cough

Winning in the NFL is hard, no matter what , Colts off to 2-0 start, All that Matters
