hhpatriot04 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I added this feature to the Predictor Tool called Predict a Tournament. It allows you to simulate up to an eight-team tournament using current Sagarin ratings. Note: There is no homefield advantage factor because I didn't think it was needed. Also, you can include byes by leaving a field blank. Enjoy! 6 2 Quote
roaringthunderdlr Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Thank you! I've already been playing around. This says Irvington Prep would beat Benton, I was shocked lol 1 Quote

I had LCC as, at least, the 4th best team in Sectional 34. The predictor had them as 5th, but close to 4th. I like the tool. Has a lot of data points to it just beyond predicting a winner. Nice work on this! 1 Quote

They often lose a lot to graduation and tend to be young in general with no freshman team and a JV that dresses with the varsity. Not really sure what's going on with them this year. Even the year after O'Shea left, back in 2017, they finished 4-8 and made it to the sectional championship before losing to eventual state champ, Pioneer. I think they'll need a lot of help from the ping pong balls just to get to the third game of sectionals this season. Quote

I didn't know if they have had injuries forcing some young guys in spots. I am sure they will be a tough out for any team they face. They are always very well coached. Quote

I think they did have an injury to their QB, but they were struggling before that too. Early on, they were having an issue with the passing game. This year the average QB rating is around 60 and last year it was almost twice that around 118. LCC's recent bread and butter has been around a solid running attack with a near lights out passing attack. Without that passing attack to keep teams off balance, it makes it easier to defend the run. Quote

You guys are the #1 team in 3A in three human polls and for good reason. 7-0 and you did it in the gauntlet SIAC...and a metro P&P to boot. You guys should walk to Lucas. Nah, I really don't care about the polls or Sagarin. I think everyone knows that with the win over HH, GS is the clear favorite in 3A South. As my fellow Tiger fan said in another topic, we have issues that could easily come back to bite us in a match-up against a team the caliber of GS. Quote

I'm not sure sure....a school in a corn field versus a metro private. The Coaches and the media know what they are doing. 1 Quote

We are literally one of the last to get one in the conference (mostly so winter and spring batting practice isn't in the gym)....and you know as well as I do....it's not the building, it's who is going in and out of it. The facility argument is the absolute worst one you guys attept to make...you can do better. Quote

But you seem to be the only one constantly complaining about the metro schools (which we all know what you mean). On the bright side, if GS does beat Memorial in the Sectional this year, at least you'll be able to say you beat us when we had more than 4 wins. 😀 Quote

If Memorial wins you can say you guys did it without a Lindauer Combs comination! 😉 Quote
