Irishman
Just over a week away, and wow, what a difference just one year can make. Based on what we saw last season, I would say Navy has exceeded expectations, while Army seems to have underachieved. Army broke the losing streak last year, but having seen Navy play a few times, I given them the upper hand. I LOVE watching this game every year and hope to experience it in person some time. I love the pre game traditions as well. This is a game EVERY football fan needs to watch. The Navy unis are pretty sweet https://www.gonavysports.com/beatarmy?fbclid=IwAR0HsINbD6wR4W5YD-ZovLaZZg02pfFy4LBZlllTohJ9H3AUvqDglJ1LSxM
Irishman
Looking at the rosters, Navy has no Indiana kids. West Point has Donavan Lynch, a Senior LB from Noblesville HS, Zach Potter, a Senior Punter from Terre Haute North HS, Alex Faulkner, a Freshman OL from Mishawaka HS, and Zach Saum, a Senior TE from Cathedral HS. itiswhatitis
Navy 31 Army 7. Navy quarterback Perry runs wild for 304 yards and 2 TD's The Middies get the CIC trophy back and finish the season 10 - 2. All is well in Navy's football universe.
Guest
I just love that I get to end the college football regular season watching a contest where I don’t have to watch guys taunt and flex after every single first down or big hit. Always such a clean contest too.
Guest DT
The players were smaller than I expected.
Irishman
If you guys have a chance, this was published back in 1996. It is a great read for any football fan. https://www.amazon.com/Civil-War-College-Footballs-Rivalry/dp/0316278246 As far as sizes go, keep in mind the different branches have maximum size standards. There is an allowance for linemen at each of the academies. If memory serves me right, the standards are based on two vehicles. For the Army, it is to be able to fit in a tank, and for the Navy, it is a submarine.
