Last info I have from a few people he is staying at cg to play football and will play AAU basketball

So is the issue with the basketball coach?  So he's not going to be playing basketball for CG any longer?

I do not know the whole story and even if I did would not air it out on here

But yes it has something to do with Basketball Coach and him and  he is no longer on the basketball team

Because every other young man that plays at a given HS lives there their entire life?  Nice logic!

Tidd DL, Wozniak TE and was on 3 NFL practice squads, Halterman TE and received SB ring with Colts, Aukerman LB, Cox DL, Krebs DL.

Great reminder about Parker Ferguson. 2 year starting OLT at AFA and one of the top Rated OL in the country.

Don't just take my word for it.  Here's an article from 2016 that calls Yeast a move-in.

https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2016/09/15/center-grove-move--russ-yeast-takes-indy-area-football-storm/90400710/

My point is that Yeast was great BEFORE he ever stepped foot inside CG High School.  He did not play in the little league or middle school programs at all, and only played at CG for 1 year.  If he played there for 3/4 years, then I could see that argument but to only play one year at CG does not make him a CG kid.

Dude, I live in WRT.  I know Russ and his family.  Absolutely he was an excellent football player before moving in.

Athletes move to given high schools all the time....we see it in the MIC, private schools, etc.  Some are move-ins to an area, some are simple transfers.  What difference does it make man?

His sister will graduate this year...and will run track at Louisville.  She was here 4 years I believe...under your logic, she's a CG kid and Russ isn't.  Really?

Russ is a graduate of CGHS.....he's a CG kid.  Disagree if you wish...I don't care.  Your call....not trying to convince you, just don''t prescribe to your line of thinking.

Is Mr. Football a New Pal kid?  I absolutely say yes!!

Under my definition above, I believe she would be since she went to school there for 4 years.

you didn't answer my question about Mr. Football being a New Pal guy....should I assume no because he didn't meet your 4 year time period?

Look, I appreciate your view....I just don't agree.

I would say yes and no on him being a New Pal guy.  My question for you is if the QB transfers and graduates from Cathedral, is he now a Cathedral kid?

Yes and no??  2 years only.....seems like you are now changing your own rule......

Now we are going hypothetical....if any player goes to Cathedral, Roncalli, Lawrence North, or any other school and plays one or 2 years, graduating from the school, I am totally fine with them claiming the young man as their own.  Our area has experienced many times where CG kids play bantam in their youth and later move on to other schools.  Part of life...when they leave CG, they are no longer Trojans.

Sure, Spegal isn't a New Pal kid.  He's a Delta kid who needed a better opportunity for a D1 scholarship and more exposure and respect, so he went to New Pal.

Here's a situation that isn't a hypothetical.  I'm sure you're familiar with a kid who went to Cathedral, then Warren Central, then Indian Creek.  Since he will graduate from Indian Creek, he's now an Indian Creek kid?  Or how about a RB from CG who moved to Indian Creek and played there this year.  He's an Indian Creek kid too?

They will always be proud graduates of Indian Creek HS.  Thus they are now and forever Braves.

Can we now move on to something else??

To be honest, I’m getting sick to death of kids transferring or thinking and talking about transferring. Just play at the school you were supposed to play at growing up. If your family does actually happen to move for a good reason then play at the new school. This AAU basketball mentality of getting to choose where you want to play or who you want to play with makes me sick and is not how high school football should be.
