The Cougars (2-5) have advanced and will now prepare to face Gavit or Hobart in a Class 4A sectional semifinal Oct. 30. The Gladiators (2-1) will try to extend their last season in school history when they host the Brickies (6-2) on Friday.

Wow, really? That stinks!  I teach in Wabash County, but haven’t heard anything yet.

I really hope that parents, students and fans follow the professionals and do all we can to assure that we make it through the playoffs.  We need to wear our masks and distance ourselves from others as much as possible.  It will be a shame if we have to curtail the playoffs because we got careless.

New rule.  Anyone who posts a cancellation MUST post a link from school confirming.  The only Southwood I’m seeing under quarantine is 1000 miles away.

Heard it was only one single test that somehow takes out an entire team...

Many teams have figured this out

Southwood’s social media posting is a joke, football team hasn’t posted since last October. But really disappointing the school hasn’t released anything official yet, only leaking it to the press. Unless that was the plan....

Similar to previous topics; keep your personal opinions (includes political views, conversations about politicians on the National, State, and local level; infection rate stats; mortality stats; and all the other nonsense that has shut down so many other topics this season) out of the conversation. Whether you think it is a good idea to do or not is irrelevant. Yes it is sad to see kids lose their season and careers end, but it is a reality and balancing act many schools are dealing with. As someone stated, let's avoid rumors. If there is a link, then please include it.

Best of luck to everyone in the playoffs.
