I think if the SIAC wants to be represented well and have a better shot of advancing through the playoffs Central needs to win this one, which I believe they do.  Central is rolling right now. Central 35-21

Memorial will keep it tight, but will Central should manage to win

It depends on what you mean by this...  But nevertheless, I suspect no matter who wins this Friday will have a tough time against Mooresville in Regional.

The South is going to be fun to watch play out! I've seen both Mooresville and Roncalli, and both are well coached and both will be a tough out. Central is becoming one of the top teams in the SIAC with Memorial. Mt Vernon doesn't play the schedule the other teams do but they did beat Coach Ralph's New Pal team this year and that is always a big accomplishment. My guess is Mooresville will the representing the South this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of the 4 make the Championship. I just wish E. Central could have played Mooresville with all their players. I hate they had 10-12 players out when they played Mooresville. Also I think playing at home will have an impact on who wins the South. Memorial last year was able to play both the Regional and Semi-State at home. That is a huge advantage to play these games on your home field. Whoever wins the South will definitely be the favorite and will be battle tested.

That's what I thought you meant.  Personally, I think either team would have a tough time beating Mooresville.

No question it was a huge advantage.  Both chose to play Friday night, which I think was a mistake given the travel involved.  This year playing at home isn't as big an advantage because crowds are next to nothing.  But last year it definitely added to our advantage in those games.  We were lucky to get past Mooresville.  They probably win 8 times if we played 10 games.
