Irishman
After reading about the name change from Rebels to Royals for Roncalli, I was curious if there were other nicknames from previous eras that are no longer in use. Out of curiosity, I opened this article of nicknames and logos no longer in use. It is not what I had intended to find, but thought it was a fun, lighthearted read....enjoy. One thought occurred.....what if the New England team from the Arena Football League had moved to Cleveland; would they have to change their nickname? 😄 It's about halfway down the article for those that are curious. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/723274-land-of-the-dead-22-of-the-greatest-logos-of-defunctdeparted-franchises Others??? I was a bit surprised the Indianapolis Racers did not make the list....I mean damn, the Quebec Nordiques did.
